Established in 1983
Currently owned and operated by Jim Mayfield since 1983, Rainbow's roots go back to the 1930s. Orginally named the Holz Company this local business was the "go to place" for John Deere and Cat equipment. It was known as the primary supplier to the ag and industrial producers in the area.
In the 1960s a group of employees began running an irrigation company alongside the Holz facility. This group eventually bought out Holz and named their company Rainbow Irrigation. Mayfield bought Rainbow Irrigation and has grown the company from seven employees to over 50 and now operates three locations in Calistoga, Ukiah and Lakeport.
A local family owned and managed business Rainbow has achieved many awards including Business of the Year in Calistoga and Ukiah.
The Lakeport facility was featured in a Lake County economic development brochure encouraging business to locate in the local area.
Our key to success - a dedicated long term staff focused on customer satisfaction .
