It is important to keep your Automower® clean for the best performance and a long service life. A mower with a lot of clippings attached also handles slopes poorly. It is recommended to clean it using a brush, spraying with water, or use a damp cloth. Never use running water, high-pressure washer, or solvent, when cleaning your Husqvarna Automower®.
When the blades become worn, or when the tip of the grass blades begin to whiten and look frayed when cutting, you should change the blades on your Automower® to maintain performance. Make sure you always use original blades and screws, and always replace the screw at the same time as the blade when carrying out maintenance, otherwise the screw can be worn out and cause the blade to come loose when operating.
Change the oil after every 25 hours of operation or each season. You may need to change the oil more often under dusty, dirty conditions. There are two ways of draining the oil, both shown in this video.
Before tipping the lawn mower to drain oil, empty the fuel tank by running the engine until the fuel tank is empty.
Changing from a trimmer line to a grass blade on your Husqvarna brushcutter is easy; all you have to do is follow these simple steps. If you are changing your trimmer head outdoors, ensure it’s in a place where it’s easy to see a small tool or nut, should you drop it.
Having the right tools for the job when gardening is of course essential for getting a good result. A bench is always useful to work on, and it prevents you from dropping screws in the grass.
Make a habit of always charging the battery when the machine is not in use. When the battery is fully charged, the charger goes into maintenance charging mode. Incorrectly used, broken or faulty, a battery charger can cause an electric shock, overheat, or leak battery acid. Remember that the batteries must be recharged with the battery charger supplied.
Charging should be carried out in an ideal surrounding temperature of 0 to 40°C. Do not charge at temperatures below 0°C, or in direct sunlight. Make sure to keep the charger out of children’s reach.
