Great Mower for the price Bought this mower at Lowes. Lowes delivered and I promptly started mowing. I mow 5 acres with about 80 trees to go around. This mower makes it a breeze. It handles great, has plenty of power and cuts mowing time in half compared to a standard yard tractor. So far I have about 10 hours on this mower and it's been perfect so far. The only minor complaints I have, is that the rear traction is less than desirable, especially if you are on any type of small hill/incline. You have to go very slow or the rear end will slide out from under you. I also thought it would be a tad faster than it is, but these are minor issues. Overall this is a great mower for the price and you can't go wrong. June 22, 2012
Very happy customer This is my first purchase of a ZTR mower, but I had used a number of others. I live on about two acres that need mowing at least weekly (more in the summer in the South.) I have been using my mower for the 2 months and am very satisfied. Good power to the engine, even cut. I also like the lifting plate on the deck to inspect the belts. June 18, 2012
a great mower had a 46 john deer riding mower for 13 years mowed about 3 acres and took 3.5 hours, it was a pain to mow around trees but since i had this baby, it only taking me about 1.5 hour to do the same thing, (got dizzy going around trees) I wish I had switch over to this zero turn long ago. this RZ5426 is a great mower, if you are waiting, stop it and go get it you can thank me later. Dead At 1.7 Hour Meter Bought this mower new. At first it semed a good mower. Then at 1.7 hours the engine died. It kept blowing the 20amp fuse when I tried to restart. Diagnosed the problem myself. Found that the wires to the left motion handle switch had been routed on purpose at the factory under the battery and hanging in the mower belt and pulleys. The wires, of course, got cut clean in two. I expect the same to happen to each and every one of these mowers at some time. Even with proper wire routing the mower has so many safety switches (6 including the ignition) that reliability may not be very good. May 28, 2012
Not a good investment I bought a husqvarna RZ5426 zero steer mower and it was the worst invesgtment ever. It has no traction. You can only mow perfectly flat lawns with it. I wish that I would have kept my Husqvarna riding mower. I would not recomend one of these to antone. I can not take it back to my dealer because it has scratches on it from going through a fence. Hope that this will help someone before you invest that kind of money. May 5, 2012
Great mower I've owned this mower for one month now and it has cut my mowing time in half. The ease of operation is excellent. It runs very well although I thought it would have been a little faster, but it still significantly out performs my previous riding mower. The cut is excellent, all even and so far just one pass does the job even in very high and thick grass. I can say it is well worth the price and I should have purchased this zero turn years ago. Does exactly what you need it to do! This zero-turn does exactly what they say, I have a 2 acre lot with very thick grass, my old mower was just not cutting it. The rz5426 has cut my mowing time from 3-4 hr to 1 hr and has made it kind of fun. The engine has enough power for any height of grass to be mowed. Great mower, great price making it a great value.
