Full of cheap parts
If you are considering this mower, don't waste your money. I used this mower one season to cut 2 acres about every 5 or 6 days and only have 36.5 hours on it but the mower has been one set back after another. Quality is seriously lacking over entire machine. Bolts have to be checked regularly so it doesn't fall apart. First cut resulted in right bolt on seat coming out and seat getting bent in mount and the deck came out of level because bolts weren't tightened. Repair tech at dealer said this was a repeat problem for alot of people. 3rd cut resulted in deck coming out of level again. Upon inspection at dealer, the deck suspension bolts were loose again and the right spindle had cracked 3 of the 4 bolt holes in the spindle where it mounts to the deck. I have a smooth professionally landscaped yard and had not hit anything that could cause this damage but Husqvarna would not stand behind their warranty and replace it because they insisted I hit something yet there wasn't so much as a knick on the spindle and the blades were like new. The dealer tried to help and gave me free labor but $110 and 4 cuts later, deck was out of level again. When I took it back, there were 7 other exact same models waiting to be fixed. I got names and phone numbers off the repair tags hanging on the mowers and called them to see what problems they are having. All 7 can't keep deck level. 4 have cracked spindle housings and 3 others are having problems with the transmission. The repair tech got mine fixed and when I asked him what I could do to prevent this issue he said "I own a John Deere if that tells you anything". It tells me volumes.
Folks, stay away from this mower. It is loaded from top to bottom with cheap parts and is a nightmare to keep assembled. It runs great and is super fast, but that is useless if it doesnt cut properly. Paid $3000 new and took a $1000 slap to get rid of it.

LITTLE THINGS
REMOVED MOWER FROM SHIPPING CRATE AND DID PRE OP MAINTENCE. CUT HALF MY YARD, APPX 2ac. GREAT CUT AND POSITIVE HANDLING. WON'T START. CHARGED BATTERY. STARTED. WENT TO TROUBLE SHOOTING. LOOSE CONNECTION AT GROUND TO ENGINE POINT. STILL HAD TO CHARGE BATTERY. CARRIED MOWER TO VANCLEVE DEALER, DUNAWAY'S SMALL ENGINES, FOUND THIRD WIRE TO MAGNITO NOT CONNECTED ALSO TOLD ME THAT GATTER BLADES IN TALL GRASS PUT TO MUCH STRESS ON MY ENGINE. GOOD FRIENDLY SERVICE, NO CHARGE. MOWER CUTS GREAT, SMOOTH, MANACURED. LIKE THE WAY THE DECK EXTENDS OUT PAST THE WHEELS AND FRAME, I CAN CUT UNDER THE FENCE ABOUT 6in. VERY HAPPY WITH MY MOWER.

Amazing mower
I just upgraded a 42" John Deer 125 tractor for the Husqvarna RZ5424. After the initial 2 hours of unpacking and reading the instructions, it took me about 30 minutes to get used to a zero-turn mower with no steering wheel. I have about 10 acres of open space at my Vermont home to cut every two weeks. It took me about 6 hours each time using the 42' tractor. Although I used the new mower only once and only for a fraction of the 10 acres, the time it took to cut a section was three times less than before. It has amazing power, speed and quality of cutting the grass. I am delighted with the purchase.

Excellent value for cost
I recently purchased the Husqvarna RZ5424 Zero turn Mower and have found it to be an excelent value for cost which is most important during these times of echonomic down turn.
I have a large yard to cut which is not without some dips and bumps. This mower cuts very smooth without scalping! As with all zero turn mowers it is a little difficult to mount and dismount, but I do not find it unsafe.

Reduced mowing time more time for family.
I wish I had lights on it for night time. Overall it is a great mower, it has cut my mowing time in half.

First season review
The mower works well, is very fast with a very clean cut.
The seat feels good, however it tends to make me slide forward requiring me to adjust my position from time to time.

Great mower for the homeowner
This mower does a great job for a homeowners needs. It cut my mowing time from 4 hours to just over an hour and a half cutting 1 to 2 acres. I enjoy mowing now more than ever and the 54 inch cut manicures the yard very nicely if you cut like the manual says which is not in rows using the zero turn. The 24 hp Kawasaki has plenty of power to do the job. I highly recommend this mower.

demandproformance
I mow 5 acers of lawn a week. I have been mowing lawns for 51 years and should have purchased one of these years ago. I have gone from 6 to 7 hours a week to tow and 1/2 hours a week seat time. I am an experienced machine operator (light/heavy) hwy. materials. Having said this I found this as one of the easiest to accomplish by the great manual of instructions and common sense approach.
