Weak Customer Service, returned defect mower within 30 days
Just as a backdrop, I am a longtime Husqvarna user, I have 3 Husky chainsaws I use for tree jobs and for getting my firewood ready each year. My Dad also has used Husqvarna saws for over 30 years. That is one of the reasons I thought of purchasing the mowers.
I purchased this zero turn from the local Family Farm and Home as an upgrade from my indestructible Honda push mower.
I used this to mow my one acre, as well as another 2 acre property and a third .5 acre property. It ran without incident for the first 3 weeks. It was at that time that the right pulley began to squeak. I got a grease gun and applied all purpose lithium grease to the zerks. But it was too late, as the next use the pulley spun right off, the bearings disintegrated.
I appealed to the dealer for assistance in upgrading to a commercial size model, but he insisted they wouldn't take the model in for trade. I and the dealer attempted to contact a representative at Husqvarna for 30 minutes, with no success. The support numbers were never answered by a representative.
As a final resolution, I had the dealer buy it back from me, and I lost $300 on the buyback. The dealer would have sent the mower out to be fixed within a week free of charge, but my concern was that the machine very likely would encounter premature damage due to the improper initial maintenance that had already resulted in the damage aforementioned.
In conclusion, I just upgraded to a Bad Boy 60" mower. I found the dealer and the Husqvarna customer service to be penny-wise, and dollar foolish, disdaining the loyalty and business of a long-time customer.
Hope this helps someone make a more informed decision.

2 PTO's in 55 hours
I have a 2012 RZ4623 with 55 hours on the clock. It just pulled the wires out of the PTO for the 2nd time. A +$300 repair. Twice! Wiring harness is an not-adequate design, needs a coupler that can pull loose without killing the PTO. Can't recommend this with this expensive fault.

Don't Do It!
I bought this product at Lowe's at the end of the season. It started and ran good at the store for the 30 seconds it was needed to run. Five months later I get it out to use it and after 1/10th of an hour a pulley on the deck starts squealing and smoking. Looked on the Husqvarna website for an authorized repair shop and took it in for warranty repair. The dealer looked at it an indicated it was a defective pulley from the factory. In the three weeks it sat there waiting for repair Husqvarna decides to drop the dealer from their network. Now that the unit is apart, Husqvarna won't authorize the repair and after nearly 7 weeks I'm still without a new mower and Husqvarna won't authorize payment or transfer to one of their other authorized dealers. While it may look pretty in orange, the warranty is completely meaningless. If you buy it, get ready to pay for all warranty repairs.

Bang for the Buck
Overall I would rate this mower a 4.5, it is a little light in the front end and a little rough ridding on uneven ground but for the cost it is very good. I had not mowed my grass all this spring when I bought this mower so a lot of it was 14"-18" tall (bluegrass) and the mower went right through it without stopping. I had to go over it again to get a finished look but my JD LX176 mower wouldn't even go 10' without killing. Granted the JD is 14 hp and the Husky is 23 hp but overall the Husky just did a better job. One of the cons I have is that the assembly at Lowes was at the best substandard, some nuts left off mower deck leveling system. Needs more attention to quality assembly!!!

Less Than Perfect Conditons
My review is a simple suggestion that you will find easy and will make for an excellent cost effective machine. Place a hole in the idler screw (539 990627[HCS5/16-18x11/4]) This will prevent the Spring Deck Belt(539 120920) from jumping off the idler bolt causing the drive belt to loose tension and the cutter blades to stop. Just a thought to make a great machine better.

so far, so good, kinda?
On the first use the deck belt came off on the first lap around the yard. the good side is that the floor come out with the removal of just one screw and provides great access to easily put it back on. On the second use, the drive belt came off. This one not quite so simple to get to, especially when the engine is hot. Once the engine cools, simply unhook the spring on the tension pulley and the belt goes back on "fairly" easily. Have used twice since with no additional problems. Mower has good power and does better than expected manuevering around my yard considering the steep grades(20-30% slopes in some areas). Just have to make sure the ground is dry or there is alot of slipping and sliding when trying to turn. Overall, very pleased with the look of the cut and the time saved. Used to take 1.5-2 hours with old riding mower, now about 50 minutes.

Great Zero Turn
I have had this mower now for two mowing seasons. Works great. I have 1.25 acres to mow and it has done a great job. Like all zero turn mowers if you turn sharp at a fast speed it will mess up the turf. Slow down and turn not a problem. I have attached a Cyclone Rake for fall and winter as I have numerous oak trees and all of my neighbors leaves end up in my yard due to a natural wind break. Most likely Husqvarna does not recommend using the mower this way but it does a fantastic job in this role. It uses less gas than my old lawn mower even though it has a more powerful engine. My only complaint is that you have to make sure you keep the air vent area around the blade spindles clear of debris. Maybe the engineers can work on new models that do not let debris gather there. Also wish that there were some type of “Gator Mulch” blades available for the mower. May Husqvarna can get together with them and work out something. This is my second zero turn mover and I highly recommend it to those looking to purchase a zero turn.
