Briggs and Stratton
Don't buy this mower with the Briggs and Stratton engine. After 3 years the engine blew the head gasket. My authorized service center had 4 others in the shop with the same problem. When B&S built the larger horsepower engines with a single cylinder, it began to have these problem. Multiple enquiries to B&S resulted in ZERO RESPONSES. IF I buy another Husqvarna (doubtful) it would be with a Kohler engine.

Perfect zero turn for fenced yard
This is the perfect mower for my half acre of grass yard including the fenced pen for my dog. It fits in my garage, so I didn't need to purchase a shed. It easily fits through the gates so I can mow my entire yard; the fenced and non-fenced portions. It handles great and does a great job mowing. It allows me to cut right up to the fence and the foundation of my house without any problems. Took a little bit of time getting used to the controls but once you get used to them to can do turns around any mower. It is actually fun to mow.

I bought this mower for a couple small jobs that i have.I figured it was a cheap alternative to buying a commercial mower and I wouldnt use it often. Its small and will fit thru residential gates, im Too lazy to push mow. So far Ive used it three times and Im ready to take my loss and sell it. Wish I had three hands so I could give it three thumbs down. The mower cuts poorly and leaves lines in the yard. The dealer adjusted the deck and the cut has improved, but it still leaves an uneven cut, especially when I turn. The brake had to be repaired shorlty after loading it to go home. They wouldnt release and had to be adjusted. I know its only a residential mower, but this is no where close to a " high performance cutting deck " as stated. Very disapointed.

I bought this size because it fit through my shed door.
Poor quality engine - Briggs & Stratton are not like they used to be. Husqvarna's larger units have better engines.
Zero turn mows fast - but very heavy and expensive vs other designs.

We have had the mower for about a year now. Purchased it from a company we thought was a dealer. That was not the important thing since so far I have been able to repair the mower when it breaks down. Twice I have adjusted the handle bars so they do not hit each other when brought together. The mower would creep forward when in neutral. I adjusted that. The deck was not level and my desired cutting height was between B and C. Leveled and adjusted the cut height. The deck blade engage lever mechanism fell apart. It is too light duty and poorly engineered. Put the lever mechanism back together. Am thinking of re engineering it.

This mower is a piece of junk!!
We purchased this mower at the end of the summer in 2013. A bolt fell off dropping the deck before I finished mowing the yard the very first time it was used. I have never been able to mow the entire lawn without parts falling off since owning it. I would not recommend this mower to anyone !!! It's junk!!!

So you don't panic, I'll start by saying the mower will do the job. JUST BE PATIENT! Now the fun part... READ THE SHORT PAGE of SET UP DIRECTIONS FIRST! After I got the mower out of the crate and assembled the few parts (very simple), I fueled it up, got on the seat, turned the key, nothing. Double checked everything, tried again, still nothing. I hope all of you that buy from this site read this line... "The shipper disconnects the negative side of the battery prior to shipping." It's a very common practice when shipping gas powered equipment. However, if you're too anxious (like me) and don't pay attention, you will miss that disconnected black battery cable just hanging there laughing at you. AND IT'S NOT IN THE DIRECTIONS! That said, did I mention be patient? Anyway, when you reconnect the battery cable, make sure you run the cable through the plastic battery cover just like the red one. If you don't, the battery cover will not seat correctly. Why is that significant and how did I know that? Well, the significance is that there is a switch in the seat that makes contact when you sit on it. If the battery cover sits up too high the switch won't make contact such that when you try to fire up the mower...you guessed it, NOTHING. I really need to learn patience. I like that the RZ has so many safety features, once you figure all of them out. They are in the DIRECTIONS. OK, so the battery is reconnected (again), the cover is flush, and I sit on the seat, turn the key, and YIPPEE, it starts on the first try (which is really the 37th try for those who aren't patient). This is where the real PATIENCE comes in. Have you ever seen the funniest video show? Let's just say that I am forever grateful I moved my car all the way to the end of the driveway before I engaged the drive on the mower. Those before me that have written reviews that state the controls are very sensitive are telling you the truth. The wheels will engage with one inch or less of travel. DO NOT engage the blade before you are comfortable knowing how to control your mower. You may end up trimming the wife's roses, not that I would know anything about that. I covered every inch of my yard in about 42 seconds. Unfortunately it was never in the same direction. The good news is that you WILL get comfortable after some practice. I suggest you practice in an open area with no or few obsticals. OH and make sure your neighbors aren't home. My next door neighbor laughed at me for a week as I was learning how to maneuver. So embarrassing. I've just received the optional bag. I'll install it with the mower in the garage where I'm out of sight of onlookers. Let me wrap up by saying this is a great little mower with a motor that will carry a big load with ease. It will wrap around the area in no time. Take it easy rounding corners. If you go too fast the front tires may gouge your grass. Finally...Just be patient.

Not a good mower for mulching
Mower leaves long strips of grass when using mulching plug. Have had problems with belt that drives blade. Have gone through two belts in two months. Dealer and support line have been no help. Would never buy another husqvarna. I suggest to anybody reading this do the same.
