I run a small landscaping business, mowing with a 60" commercial tractor and an ExMark wide-area walk behind, as well as a Honda finishing mower, and all the small implements. In ordering parts for my tractor, my dealer which also sells Husqvarna, offered me a good deal on this mower. It wasn't exactly what I wanted - I was thinking ExMark or Ferris 60" zero turns - but I gave it some thought and did the research. These mowers are surprisingly high quality for the money (priced at maybe 50-60% of the equivalent ExMark / Ferris machine). Yes, the Hydros aren't Parker but they are Hydro-Gear ZT3400's, which are good quality. The engine is a Kawasaki FS, instead of the FX you would get on an ExMark...but do the reasearch and an FS is essentially identical to an FX except it has a lesser quality (but still fine) air filter. This machine has a high-quality PTO clutch and actually cuts very well despite not having rollers. The foot-operated deck lift works very well. At 10mph top speed, it is relatively fast but not the fastest of the ZT mowers...but more than fast enough. The frame is quite beefy, and the front casters are much nicer than an entry ExMark Lazer Z. I have 3 complaints with this machine: the hour meter only records hours when the PTO is engaged, which is silly. The PTO switch is poorly positioned on the control panel right behind the right control stick, and I have accidentally shut the PTO off while making a tight turn. Lastly, the exhaust pipe exit is not angled away from the protective frame enough...resulting in black soot to accumulate all over the bright orange paint. However, I can live with all of these things. One 'tradeoff' of these machine is the 5-gallon fuel tank. No dual tanks like some of the nicer machines...but that's OK. The deck seems to be reasonably durable. I have no issue with the parking brake location as some other posters have. Because I trailer this mower every week, the brake holds the machine on the trailer very well. So far, I have about 30 (mowing) hours on this machine and it performs flawlessly as expected.

I am a lawncare professional, and I cut 7 yards in addition to my own yard. I purchased this mower to start my business thinking it was a great value and seemed to be a rugged mower. The mower itself is great. I have the FS651V Kawasaki engine, and I lose all compression on the left cylinder AT LEAST once or twice a year and have to get the valves adjusted. This takes forever to schedule and appointment with a certified service location which puts me out of business until it's fixed. This is the most frustrating unit I have ever operated in my life and I've been on lots of mowers. When I asked the service tech what could be done and if any of it was covered under warranty (mower was 1 or 2 years old at the time with less than 150 hrs) and I was told sorry for my luck. I paid them over $200 to fix it thinking I'd be set. Nope. Here we are 1 year later, same issue again. I have 250 hours. Save your money and buy a SCAG. Husqvarna wont stand behind their product and you'll spend tons of money fixing a mower just to keep it running and usable with no warranty coverage being honored by Husqvarna or Kawasaki. Waste of money.

AWESOME MACHINE EVEN AFTER 2 YEARS !!!
from VALLEY CITY OHIO
I BOUGHT THIS A LITTLE OVER 2 YEARS AGO. IT STILL PERFORMS EXCELLENT. ONLY ISSUE I HAD SO FAR IS I SHEARED OFF A DECK WHEEL BOLT SOMEHOW.I HAVE A HILLY 5 ACRES WITH ABOUT 50% BEING FLAT, THIS MACHINE PULLS UP THE HILLS AT FULL SPEED MOWING. THE KAWASAKI ENGINE IS PHENOMENAL I CHANGE THE OIL EVERY 50 HOURS AND IT IS ALWAYS RIGHT ON FULL.HUSKY HAS A PROMOTION RIGHT NOW IF YOU BUY THIS YOU GET A CHAINSAW, WEED EATER & BLOWER. i WAS TEMPTED TO BUY ANOTHER ACTUALLY. HUSKY PRODUCTS ARE VERY RELIABLE DO NOT HESITATE IF YOU NEED A RESIDENTAL MOWER THAT IS COMMERCIAL QUALITY FOR RELIABAILITY.
I bought this mower to replace a high end 42" John Deere mower that has served me well since 2002. This mower has reduced my cutting time in half. This is a mower on steroids, I'm still trying to get used to how quick and responsive it is, on the first day I hit a fence post that was 4 1/2 inches thick and sheared it off and no damage to the mower. My bad. Quality even mow and my grass has never looked better. Time to fertilize, get more growth, cut more and watch it look even better! Love it!

So Far, So Good!!!
Recently moved into a new house with 2.5 acres. Only mowing 1.5 but need to get done in a timely manner! Was using a 42" garden tractor and have used ZTR's in the past, so I knew what to expect as far as speed and ease of use. Have been researching mowers for 6 months and wish I would have went with my instinct and bought this mower sooner. So far, so good, and time will tell on durability, but initial impression is FANTASTIC. Very heavy duty, clean cut at all heights, and fast. Do your research and look at the competition closely. The MZT 52 w/ Kawasaki is BEST IN CLASS and I cant see why it won't last for a long time! My only minor complaints at this time: wish fuel tank was larger, the exhaust tip leaves soot on framing, when ROPS is flipped all the way down it rubs on engine guard.

Works great on rough yards.
We have lived at our home for 11 years, with numerous problems keeping mowing equipment working. We finally broke down and purchased this mower. Our property is rough and hilly, so we need a mower that is tough and dependable. So far, this mower has been everything that we hoped for. This machine can go just about anywhere I need it to. The quality of cut is great, and I can get the yard mowed a lot faster. The cost is a bit pricey, but if it holds up, it will be a good investment. I was able to buy it locally, and the dealer is very knowledgeable and will provide good service.

It really is commercial grade
I'm a gimp in a class III wheelchair who owns 5 acres that's constantly in need of a haircut. This time I found a winner! I shopped for over a year before plunking down my money yet this time I KNOW beyond any doubt it's a machine that's going to earn its keep. I had the dealership add the deck washer (don't know why it's not included), but other than that, I find it well designed. I can't use my body from the waist down yet I can easily handle everything. I just leave my deck height set at one height all the time. You'll love this machine but look at engine reviews before choosing a cheaper option. This engine is worth the extra money!
