Best Trimmer Ever Made !!!
I have owned Black and Decker, MTD , Troy-Bilt , Craftsman , Craftsman Pro , and many others and to be honest... no other trimmer can withstand the abuse that this one can !!!! Its silent engine even makes you question its running ! Easy Start from the first pull amazingly balanced and light weight makes it so much easier for your lawn care duties ... very well engineered ! so if your questioning spending $1000 on a trimmer ... seriously look no further than the 224l ! I love this trimmer and will never regret or look at another brand ! Im a husky buyer for life !

HUSQVARNA 224L
Well I hesitated to buy another trimmer as they all seem to kick the bucket in a year or 2 and always seem to have a hard time starting one. Well this one has been excellent been using 2 seasons now and still works great and the 5 year Lowes warranty is nice too so if anything should go wrong they will fix for free.. It is light and easy to use. I am now a Husquvarna man and even bought the tiller which I love but then again so does my whole neighborhood they all want to borrow my husqvarnas now.....

Starts easy
Easy to set up and start. Idles very nice. Plenty of power for those tough spots. Have already recommended to my neighbor. It's the block where all the guys get togeather when someone buys something new. One of my neighbors already purchased the same one I have and I'm sure others will follow suit when it's time to upgrade. Yes this trimmer is an upgrade from whatever you are using now......Jon

Excellent choice when looking to be clean and green!
I purchased the Husqvarna 224L 4-cycle trimmer in June and find it to be an excellent choice to become my weekly-use weed and brush trimmer. I absolutely love being able to use one fuel can to fill my mower and trimmer. The convenience and efficiency make this unit well worth the purchase price. I compared this unit to a similar Troy-Bilt model and could easily see the differences in build quality. This unit would be a sound investment for anyone looking to upgrade to a 4-cycle trimmer, or simply buying their first trimmer. The trimmer starts up quickly, requiring only 25-30 seconds to warm-up for operational use. The power is on-par with similarly sized 2-cycle trimmers, without the need to mix fuel and clean fouled plugs on a regular basis, for optimum operation. The vibration is much less than my 2-cycle Craftsman Professional Brush Cutter, which has now been relegated to only the thickest of bush/brush that requires a saw blade. The only detraction I have for this unit is the lack of a carrying strap; however, I find the balance and weight to be such that I don't feel the need for one, others may want it though.

Husqvarna 224L Trimmer
This is the best trimmer I have owned to date. Starts easily and usually the first time. Well balanced. Line feed is great. Trims even heavy areas with ease.

What a BEAST
Over 2 decades and a half dozen weed trimmers later I have found the one that makes me smile. This trimmer runs on straight gas with an oil reservoir. In my opinion the normal 2 cycle engine requires constant maintenance such as cleaning the carb and fuel filter and cleaning out the gas lines to keep the product running. Don't do these tasks and the engine becomes gummed up from the oil/gas mixture and they become a true pain to start and keep running. That is why this 224 with a 4 cycle straight gas engine will probably last me decades. My first use of it was trimming along a quarter mile of creek bank on my property. My other trimmer was giving me the usual problems, won't start, clean the carb and spark plug, spray a bit of gummout into the carb and get it running at home only to have it refuse to start the next day when I am at my property and ready to use it. 6 weeks had gone by and the weeds were about 2 feet high in a 2-3 foot wide swath. I attached the line guard, read the manual, added the oil, filled the gas tank and halfway through my second easy pull of the cord it came to life. This trimmer went through those weeds with ease and never once bogged down. The engine has a nice deep growl to it and I didn't even need earplugs, though I usually wear them as they are beneficial, I had forgotten them that day. The 224 has a huge amount of torque which is why it never hesitated cutting the thick weeds along the creek bank. With my "other" trimmer my gloved hands would be halfway numb after completing the trimming of the creek banks, however, I felt no fatigue at all using the 224. My only other comment, I wish they had included a shoulder strap but I bought one and it makes the job even easier. I did take it off a few times to test the trimmers balance and it is wonderfully balanced. This trimmer is truly a beast. I love it!

Very pleased
I purchased a new trimmer of another brand and it had the tall wheat grass tangled so tightly in 1 minute that I had to cut it off with a knife. This happened several times so I returned it.
Then I bought the Husqvarna 224l and what a pleasure. It feels and sounds like real high quality and the wheat grass tangling around the head was no longer a problem at all.
It starts and runs perfectly. The line is great ans un-spools without a hitch too.
The job was made very easy.
I would like a shoulder strap though.
