cheaply made The pull starter failed after one month of use leaving me to order the same cheap parts or redesign the product myself. I have had craftsman trimmers that lasted ten years with little problem. Will nerver buy Husqvarna again. April 21, 2014
the best trimmer This has been the best trimmer that I have ever bought I on my landscaping business so I use my equipment just about every day and it has not let me down starts real easy and runs like a champion April 6, 2014
starter cord wont retract After 1.5 seasons of light use starter cord won't retract looks like a common problem .My old trimmer lasted me over 20 years and never a repair needed . the Husqvarna runs terrible and now can't even start it I'll definitely not buy another product from husqvarna March 30, 2014
223L...not worth the price after one season of light use...the starter cord wont retract. i inspected and troubleshooted the problem then ordered the new cheap plastic pieces that the assembly is made of and....darn!!!! it did it again after a few quick short pulls with same plastic piece being chewed up. will never buy another one of these...cheap plastic parts. Starter cord failure I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing my trimmer. Like many others I have experienced a start cord failure. I used the trimmer for about 5 months/10 times when the starter cord would not retract. I took it to a repair facility and was told this was a common problem with the easy-start system and that the metal spring damages the drive pulley, clearly a design flaw. The claim for warranty was denied leaving me the cost to replace the recoil assembly. I called the service number, unable to find an address to write them about my concern, and was told that this part was a “wear” part and only covered for 30 days. It is sad when you think you are purchasing quality and it does not even last one season. It is the last Husqvarna product I will purchase. December 30, 2013
Very Nice I originally went to buy my mom a new cheap trimmer like she had always bought in the past. As I was looking around trying to decide between the cheap or cheaper one I asked the guy that worked in the department which of the two cheaper ones weighed less. He proceeded to look up the weights and then told me that this model was lighter. After comparing weights of the three and seeing the features of the Husqvarna, I decided to go from paying $85 to paying about $250. I have to say that I am glad I did. My mother did not like the idea at first, but after using the trimmer a couple times she really likes that she can reach further under bushes and decks and stairs than she was used to with her previous curved shaft trimmers. The only downfall that we have come up with is that the weight distribution is off a little, the trimmer heads needs to be just a touch heavier to balance it out. December 4, 2013
Only used a few times , but good so far I purchased this product in the fall, so it hasn't had much use. It starts easily and runs well, but it seems a little underpowered. Maybe after it is broken in and the carb readjusted it might have a little more guts to it. It works fine for what I purchased it for though. It was definitely a little pricy and I waited, but could never find it on sale, although I did buy it when they were offering a free can of premix gas with it. November 30, 2013
Light weight and powerful Only used 1/2 season. Pleased with performance. Recommend you watch web site video to learn how to change string. Manual no help in this regard. Warning - don't buy through Sears. Had to pay $20 over other retailers and recommended price on Husqvarna web site. No stock anywhere else. November 29, 2013
