Replacement for recently purchased 128LD Tried using the 128LD I initially purchased and it worked for about 10 minutes then the trimmer head stopped working. Motor appeared to be operating just fine. Disconnected the trimmer attachment and the cable was frayed at the end. Took it back to Lowes where it was purchased and they replaced it (was within the initial 30 days of purchase). Tried using the 2nd 128LD and it worked fine. This trimmer is heavier than the other trimmers I've had. Has good power, in fact if you let the string get too close to the ground it will lead the trimmer head in the direction of the trimmer rotation, making it difficult at times to maintain a straight line or clean edge. Just a little getting used to. August 5, 2011
Great modular product love it. I used to have a corded trimmer and no edging capabilities. This does it all. It has so much power and it is so fast that it took me a good couple of times to get the hang of it. What a great product! August 5, 2011
USE MY WEEDEATER A LOT! I LIVE ON A FARM AND THERE IS A LOT OF WEED EATING TO DO. I'VE OWNED HUSQAVARNA TRIMMERS FOR THE LAST FIVE YEARS, IF THERE HAS BEEN ANY PROBLEM, THE WARRANTY HAS COVERED IT August 2, 2011
this trimmer is just down right solid, Ihave used husq s before and they have all performed well, ruggedness , dependable, and just down right awesome, It hase the power to cut through thick grass along the sidewalk, its just one tough weedwacker lol lol July 24, 2011
Husqvarna Has Done It Again! This is simply the best string trimmer I have ever owned, for ANY price! Cranks the first time, everytime. It is perfectly balanced and very quiet. The string that comes with the trimmer is the longest lasting string I have ever used. I am throwing out all my old string that would fit my new trimmer and going out to buy more Husqvarna replacement line. I love this trimmer. July 21, 2011
Great product! Have used your products in my lawn care business for years! Love the balance and durability of Husvarna products! July 18, 2011
Senior Citizen This trimmer is too heavy for me so it leaves all of the work for my husband. He admitted it was heavy for him too. Unfortunately we have to maintain the yard, but the trimmer does a good job. July 16, 2011
This Trimmer Runs under water! Recently i was trimming around a large pond near my home, with my Husqvarna 128LDx. When i lost my footing, i feel into the pond at the deepest part. While falling i tried to throw the trimmer away from the water, but was unsuccessful. I fell into the water, well over 6ft. deep, where i was able to watch the trimmer fall in as well. Believe it or not the trimmer was running from the time it hit the water, until it reached the bottom. A good 10 seconds! I was worried that i had ruined the trimmer, seeing that it had stayed on the bottom of the lake for a good 30 to 45 mins. by now, yet i was able to fish it out, and take it to my house to evaluate the damage. I was worried that the engine would be cracked, because the trimmer was extreamly hot when it went in the cold lake water. The starting rope would not budge, meaning the engine was filled with water, so at this point i pulled the spark plug out of the engine, and dumped the water out of the trimmer, then squeezed the water out of the air filter, then put the same plug back in, cranked the trimmer and continued using it. Every word of this is true! i promise! July 14, 2011
