Great machine This machine starts easily, runs great, idles smoothly and cuts like a pro. It is well balanced. I have not had to replace the string yet but it looks easy based on a demo the salesman gave me at Lowes. That alone is a plus because I have had problems with just about every other weed wacker I have owned re replacing the line. This machine is clearly a winner and I hope to have many years of trouble free service with it. May 26, 2014
Husqvarna Weedtrimmer Purchased this item about a month ago. Very easy start. Easy to use. The trimmer feeds very well. Very pleased with purchase. Got the extended 4 year warranty. I would highly recommend this product. I will be purchasing other Husqvarna items. May 26, 2014
Great Buy I have been looking into weed eater for a while between stihl and husqvarna. i decided to go with the husqvarna 128ld model because of the power and features that it had. i have owned a stihl trimmer all my life and loved it but it finally broke and needed a new one. the reason i did not go with stihl was because the power and the little features u get unless you pay twice the price of the husqvarna. I just bought mine today and put it together in less than 5 mins of opening the box. the instructions were easy to understand. i put it through the test today with tall brush and it did great. i am really pleased with my purchase and would recommend the husqvarna May 20, 2014
128LD A solid trimmer! Starts quickly and effortlessly. Handles routine tasks with ease. Controls and levers are easy to locate. Overall, a solid typically high quality and professional machine. May 17, 2014
Wasted time and money I currently use a Husqvarns backpack blower that is several years old and still runs great. I had a Husqvarns mower that I used for over 10 years with no problems. Based on these experiences I bought this trimmer. I used it only 4 times and it just stopped working. Took it back for a refund. May 13, 2014
disappointed product has not lived up to "husky hype". hard to start, even following directions to a 't'. doesn't not live up to consumer report evaluation in that this unit is pretty poor in tall grass. i guess i'm just disappointed in this purchase. i should have stuck to my tried and true brands, kawasaki and stihl. well worth the extra money IMHO. worthless manual I purchased this item on the advice of a local dealer as I have a one acre lot which requires annual weed abatement. The first thing I wanted to know is the size of the trimmer line so I could purchase replacement line. No where in the manual is the size of the line specified. Called Husqvarna tech support. He could not find this information either. Next thing I wanted to know was the line feed mechanism. Is it a bump-feed or an auto-feed? Again, not mentioned in the manual. The manual wastes 12 pages on common-sense safety stuff but does not provide important information on the basics of this tool. This unit is relatively heavy and the balance is poor. Vibration is excessive. Goes through line like wet spaghetti. I have to re-load the line every 20 minutes (I am cutting tall grass). I did this same project last year with a B&D cordless trimmer and I still have not yet needed to re-load the line on that unit. May 2, 2014
Works well but has some minor flaws. Product works well but it has a tendency to get hung up when throttling up after it stays at idle for a while. I've been using the recommended fuel from Husqvarna ever since I bought the product... not sure if it's normal but I tried the longer version from a friend and it doesn't seem to have the same problem...
