not a bad product this trimmer works well but if u get it into real thick grass or weeds it will bog down some and after it gets hot it does not seam to have the same amount of power but u have to use it for about three hours strait July 1, 2011
128LD Failure First time owner of a Husqvarna product. Owned a cheap low end model trimmer prior to this one for about 6 years. Got tired of fussing with it so I decided to purchase what I thought was a higer end trimmer. I puchased the trimmer late summer 2010 and used it without failure all last year. I have to say it was alot quieter and started easy and had sufficient power. I was pretty happy with it until the pull string didn't retract today. I pulled the string twice to start it and then the string just did not retract..... sigh.... I pulled off the string cover looking for some sign of what just happened to my almost new trimmer. Everthing is clean (even the grease is still clean and clear) so nothing obstructing it from retracting...sigh...What to do next? I called the 1800# on internet to speak with an service agent who apparently is not located in the US. So that conversation didn't go so well. I was given the location of a service center to have it inspected and determine if the part is covered under the warranty. Keep your reciept you will need it. After further search and review of forums this has been an ongoing problem with this model of trimmer since 2009. I will not recommend this trimmer. June 16, 2011
This Product Gets the Job Done Pros: Overall power is excellent. Starts easily. String feeds out with one easy bounce on the turf. Weight is Average. Shaft assembles and disassembles easily for head change. Cons: Changing from idle speed to running speed, it seems to bog down for a few seconds before recovering and gaining full speed. June 8, 2011
I wish I had not waited so long I have used another brand for years because of all of the interchangeable attachments and lived with the vibrations, the noise, the poor line feed, etc. This Husqvarna has gobs of power, easy to start and all of my attachments work perfect with it. It makes the unpleasant task of weed clearing much easier and faster. June 4, 2011
Product has been easy to start Trimmer started up first time by following directions. It has started each time runs good plenty of power and is easy to operate June 4, 2011
Not for the faint of heart This trimmer is a beast. I'm a big guy, and it takes quite a bit to control it. Having said that, it really gets the job done. I have not been impressed with the trimmers I've used in the past few years; cords are annoying, and the battery powered really lose juice after a few minutes. This trimmer, being gas powered, has no cords or batteries, and maintains the same level of power throughout the duration of the work. My only complaint is that I have to bend over slightly to use it, but I'm over 6.5 feet tall, so this is to be expected. Anyone shorter than me should be able to use it quite comfortably. And it will get the job done. June 3, 2011
Great trimmer, Great price I've had my 128LD for about a month now and so far it has performed great. it has more than enough power to do everything I need it for. I also own a Model 55 chainsaw and it's reliability and performance is what brought me back to this brand. Next stop is a Husqvarna ridding mower!! June 3, 2011
