Powerful New England Snow Thrower! This snowblower can toss heavy wet New England snow with no issue. I have a large slope to my driveway and this has had no issue losing grip or even helping to pull me up the driveway in slippery conditions (the tires are great!) The one caveat I had is this snowthrower has been in for service after just 2 snowstorms (the pulley that moves the auger needed to be tightened for the augur for some reason). This is stated as a potential maintenance item in the users manual however, I took it in for a service since I'm not too handy. It was just super inconvenient for the snow thrower to stop working in the middle of a 16" snow storm that I then had to shovel by hand while my Husqvarna sat in the garage mocking me. After the service, the snowblower works as originally planned. Powerful throwing of snow, lots of speed options, chute doesn't clog, great traction on tires, heated hand warmers, single pull(if not using electric start), steering is nice (after some adjustment to mine), LED light is perfect for night time snowblowing. Overall, a fantastic snowblower I just am a bit worried about reliability. I'd be willing to discuss more with Husqvarna if needed. January 17, 2013
Best one yet! Have purchased the above mentioned snowthrower in the past month. I find it to be a capable, quiet and easy to use and understand the features. The controls are well placed and easy to access. I like the idea of the weight bar. Keeps the machine in better contact (down pressure) to the area being cleared. Even enjoy the remote direction control, which has been an issue in the past with other snowthrowers I've had. The remote direction control on this machine is quite a bit more precise as to holding the position it is placed in. The machine has a solid feel to it, nothing cheap in the way it was constructed. The ONLY issue I have with it is, the power steering is hit or miss when engaged (which the dealer said he'd address). Makes handling a heavy machine such as this one a little more work. Sometimes it will engage exactly when applied, other times the levers resist being squeezed to engage. Other than this I like the machine, and recommend it. It has been THE BEST ONE YET I've owned. Last Snow Thrower I'll Ever Buy!! I am so glad I decided to purchase one of the Crown series snow throwers! This machine is an absolute beast. I love it. It goes through snow like a hot knife through butter. It fires on the first pull every time, great Briggs engine. It has some good, premium options. Love the heated grips, GREAT feature. Power steering. This thrower has everything I could possibly want and more. The chute is easy to move on the fly while in motion. And it looks awesome, good looking machine. I just love it. The ONLY negative thing I can find so far is that it's a little on the heavy side, but it's definitely not too heavy to use. I would recommend this to anyone that may be on the fence and I think it's worth the extra money for the Crown Series over the Performance Series. January 22, 2012
