some good changes, some not so good
i have owned many husqvarna and stihl power saws, i own a logging company and we use all sizes. the performance of this saw is great but husqvarna failed to update the oiling system. after 2 days of use, the threads stripped off the oil drive. i use only husqvarna bar oil. i wish they had fixed this problem. had same problem with 357. otherwise, great little saw.

Hot rod with handles
Incredible power for its size and very smooth. Handles like a 55cc saw with the power and grunt of a 70cc pro saw. Pulls hard thru large oak without while keeping eng speed up. Hard to make it bog down. I also have a 357xp which is a very good saw but it doesn't come close to the 562. My old favorite was my 254xp because it was light and powerful for its size. As much as I love that saw I always wished I would have bought a 262xp for the bigger stuff. If you only want to take one saw to the woods the 562 is the one. I give it a 5 for durability based on prior experience with husky saws. Time will tell with this one.

I like the new design
This saw is powerful and light weight. We have a tree farm and are actively involved in the timber harvests. I've been using this saw daily for a month now. I was concerned that the auto tune might cause trouble. But it's great. The saw starts and runs perfectly. No stalling out when first starting up the very cold saw. I have a $250 gift certificate from competition. I felt a little foolish not using it. But the other saws are heavier and more expensive for the same engine size. I'm glad I bought this one.

Great Saw
I traded in a stihl 460 magnum for my 562XP. So far I am very happy with the trade, reminds me of my 262XP which was my favorite.

excellent size, excellent power
I have run a great variety of chainsaws professionally for over 12 years, from Stihl 460 to Dolmar 7900 to this new Husqvarna 562xp. I was very impressed with the power to weight ratio, but also the handling while limbing and felling. I have only used it for under a week in Pine over 28" on the butt and it handles it with ease. In looking it over my only complaint is that it has an inboard rim sprocket. This I can not understand. This just makes it hard to change. Other than that I am very pleased with the product, and anxious to buy another!
