above the average home owner I've officially tried every xp model chainsaw husqvarna has to offer. The best and my personal favorate is the 390xpg . I have NOT found one single complaint about it. This saw has an abundance of cutting power. Cutting through my 2-1/2 foot diameter knotty beech, the saw never had a hick-up. It works so well my friends and neighbor who have brand 'B' chain saws ask me to come over and cut their bigger size wood, or even borrow it. Its great to see the 390xpg eat through the wood and watch theres bog down to a stand still 1/2 way through the cut. They all look at me when their done and say its way better then theirs. Very gratifying. The saw feels and handles like my 372xp. Well balanced, and great throtle responds. November 6, 2011
High power, light weight. The 390XP is my first choice, even when it may be "too much" saw for a particular job. With a 24" bar, it will pull through solid oak with no problem. The weight is light enough to make all-day use not a problem, and the vibration is very low for a saw of this power. The slim body is easy to move around, even in tight spaces. What is more, the saw is built to last. I REALLY like using this saw. February 24, 2011
