Just bought the bt130 about 1 month ago. I absolutely love it. I am 53, female, with a bad back. I have an acre yard with over 100 oak trees. The leaves are a real pain. This little machine makes the work so much easier. I didn't do anything with my leaves this year until I got my new backpack BT130, I could hardly believe the ease of this little machine. I even let my next door neighbors son who is only 9 use it. He wanted one for his birthday. The only complaint I have is, they could include a narrower nozzle for the end of the blowing tube.I could not believe the blowing power. It moves large amount of leaves, wet or dry. It even blows all of my little bitty acorns along with the leaves.I have already recommended this to several other people.

This is Husqvarna's entry level blower and I am surprised a company like Husqvarna built and offered an item like this. Plastic impeller and extremely under powered. I always used Husqvarna two cycle and the engine would only run half rpm after about the fifth use. Sounded like it had marbles in it. Took it to certified repair facility and engine has to be replaced. Luckily it was still under warranty. Spend the extra $50 and get the 150BT. The engine in the 150BT is twice as powerful and the two units don't even compare. Don't waste your time with this one. If you can't swing the extra cost, do yourself a favor and fill out all of the warranty paperwork online and save the receipt. Chances are your going to need it.

About Me Professional
Comments about HUSQVARNA 130BT:
Bought it new, in the box. It cranked pretty easily but had the power of the wind to start with. I added a little Mechanic in a Bottle to the gas and it got a little better over time but has never equaled my Husqvarna 125 hand held blower. I finally put my inductive tachometer to it and found out why - it only turns about 6,000 odd RPM;s, which varies from day to day, according to air density. The highest number I have ever recorded is 6,830 but on most days it is about 6,500. In contrast my 125B will turn almost 9,000 and will blow the doors off of the 130. I attribute the lack of performance in the 130 to two things - an oversize impeller and that sorry rotary carburetor they put on the 130. I finally took the carburetor apart to see if that would improve its performance. I was loaded with ethanol residue, which I cleaned out and put a new diaphragm kit in it, even though the original diaphragms were OK. This improved its ease of starting and throttle response but did nothing to increase its performance. I think its performance could be increased by reducing the size of the impeller and replacing its carburetor with a carburetor with one that has adjustable jets. One would think the folks at Husqvarna would have enough sense not to use gas with ethanol on the gas they use to test run their equipment after its manufacture! I never use gas with any ethanol in any of my two cycle equipment. I use premium, non ethanol gas in all of my small gas engines. I also have leaned to put .5OZ of Mechanic in a Bottle in any new piece of gas powered equipment to help to reduce and residual ethanol contamination remaining in the t fuel system left there by the manufacturer.

Great for non commercial use
Bought my blower at Lowe's on sale. I've never had a blower before and have sever back issues so when I picked up the handheld ones I knew it wouldn't work so I spent some more and got this one after trying it on. Fits very comfortably, the engine is very smooth and doesn't vibrate you at all. I thought it would have a little more power/wind mph but it works great for small maintenance of leaves, cleaning off the porch and driveway, and I've found multiple other uses for it. Works great when having a bonfire to get it going quick, or make quick work of burning trash. I would very much recommend this blower to anyone who only needs something for occasional year round use, especially those who have back injuries, or other physical ailments that prohibit them from carrying anything for an extended amount of time.

VERY EASY TO START, AND A POWERFUL BLOWER, LIGHT WEIGHT, AND A CHARM TO USE
Bought it used off Craigslist for $60
Like the title says bought it used. I am impressed. Much easier than my hand held blower. Comfortable and light. Plenty of power for what I need. The seller said it was 3 yrs old. I use premium gas with synthetic oil. I also use Lucas ethanol treatment.

Good until quit working
I thought that this blower was a good value until it quit working after owning about a year. By the time I got around to calling Lowes about it, I had just passed the 1 year warranty period. Then I found out that it didn't matter because the carburetor is not covered past 90 days! I have learned that ethanol is terrible for small engines and one dealer said that if you use ethanol blend gas (which almost all gas stations sell#, then you will have to replace the carburetor every year #potentially#! This should be made more clear. At over $100 for the carburetor #plus labor to install), my value just dropped considerably. These should be made to handle ethanol blend gas or clearly marked "DO NOT USE ETHANOL BLEND GAS". I hope those that read this do not make the same costly mistake.

I recently purchased a new BT130 backpack blower. After one use the unit was in the shop because it would not start. I brought it to an authorized repair shop. A couple of days later they said you needed a new spark plug. Really? After one use. They said it was not a part that was under warranty and $45.00 later I have my once used blower back.
3 years of ownership spends more time in the shop then I...
I have purchased all Husqvarna power equipment since I can remember. This is by far the most disappointing experience I've had thus far. This blower has been in the shop to correct several tuning issues. I run the exact same fuel in all my small power equipment yet this is the only piece suffering from mechanical issues. After 3 years of ownership I have more money in maintenance than the blower is worth and was just told that it needs a entirely new carburetor. Very disappointing to have this many issues when I've spent several thousands of dollars on Husqvarna equipment.
130BT Backpack Blower Review
from Wright City
I purchased this blower 3 years ago when I purchased my new home on 3 wooded acres. I was very impressed with the power of this blower in such a small package.I used it for the fall and the spring of the first year before I realized i had not purchased a large enough model. My land and trees were just too much for this little guy. This is by no means a reflection on this blowers ability to do its job, it works great. I upgraded to the 580BTS (Tim the Toolman Laugh) I gave this blower to my father for his smaller less wooded land and he loves it! Lightweight and easy to start.

Light weight, easy to use
from Saint Simons Island
My main reason for buying this blower was weight, because I have back problems. Some reviews have said it was not powerful enough, but it works fine for me. My only complaint is it has no small or flat tip. This is mentioned in literature, but I cannot find a source for one.
