I'll never purchase another Husqvarna product
Go ahead, try and get something repaired. My mower wouldn't start in the 2nd year of ownership (brand new, used about 5 times the 1st year). Called Husqvarna, told take it to this repair shop, I pick it up ($82 bill), it struggles to start after bringing it home, I mow about 1/3 of an acre, the engine blows. Call Husqvarna, now I have to call Kohler (so if your handle breaks, I guess you have to call China to get that fixed), they send me to a different repair shop and proceed to argue with the shop saying it's not our fault. Long story short, I haven't seen my mower since May 28th (the anniversary of it's purchase the previous year). I also have a Husqvarna chainsaw which can't seem to stay in one piece for more than 15 minutes.

My New Lawnmower
Lawn mower is great and the more I use it the better it gets as I become more familiar with it. And it starts on ONE PULL every time so far.
I like it a bunch !
Oh yeah, and my lawn looks great after it's cut..

BEWARE OF REBATE OFFER
Husqvarna does not honor its rebate commitment. AND, any efforts to communicate with the company will result in absolute disregard for you, the customer. Their position is "punitive", and they are the perfect example of a corporate machine. Again, do not make your purchase based on a rebate offer. You will be abused ! I am happy to elaborate, and hope to advise all customers to beware the integrity of the company. filed

I replace a 10 year old mower that still ran good but, new home, new lawn, and wanted a new toy. I purchased the HU800H on line thru a dealer a few states away, for less than the MSRP, and free delivery. I received it within 5 days, small assembly, added gas and oil, after 5 pulls, due to not having any gas in the engine what so ever, it fired up. I shut it down and 5days later I brought it out for the 1st trial and 1pull fired right up. Well balanced, and most important to me no wheel lines in the grass. Having the Honda engine I was expecting it to only hum but it wasn't bad, the double drive control is a bit redundant, they could have only used 1 lever. I have now used it twice and I haven't put any fuel in it since the 1st fire up, not unlike the old B&S engine where I had to refuel it, sometimes twice per use. The single lever height adjust is also a great feature, an additional pleasing feature is the quality of cut. The only 3 down sides that have appeared is- 1) have to empty the grass catcher 1 more time than my old mower. 2) when pulling it backwards the extra large flapper on the bottom back sometimes gets caught in the rear wheels, but just move it forward a bit and it comes right out...no biggie.3) wheel alignment front is closer together than rear make it a litter harder to cut next to buildings, but that's what a weed whip is for... Time will tell but for now it is the best mower and engine combination I could find with out breaking the bank, and I have researched more than I care to admit.

Just what I needed
My advice to anyone...read reviews like this one. When the mowing season came around my old mower decided it was done. With the grass getting high I rushed out and bought a new mower...without reading reviews. Needless to say, the mower I bought went back after being used twice.
Having learned my lesson, I started looking for what I wanted and needed. At the big box store I saw Husqvarna mowers and liked what they had, but they didn't have everything I wanted. I found this model on the website and went in search of one. Yesterday morning I bought one and brought it home, I couldn't be happier with the purchase. As son as I got home I had to try it, it did my front yard without missing a beat. The power was solid but it seemed rather quiet. Each time I stopped, it fired right up.
I left the back yard for today...I really tested the new mower. The grass had gotten quite long and it was a bit wet. This mower powered right through and left it looking great. The only thing that I have noticed is that the wheel alignment takes some getting used to. The rear wheels are spread wider than the front which makes lining up your paths a bit difficult, I'm sure I'll get used to it.
I would recommend this mower to anyone.

Live and learn!
Earlier this year, I purchased a Snapper walk-behind lawn mower (wait, keep reading!), and I hated it. The self propel drive belt would NOT stay on! It was difficult to start! It was too heavy! The grass catcher bag was the dickens to remove, empty and replace! The rear wheel adjustment leavers were way too confined to make easy adjustments in the cutting height! I asked the dealer to please take it back, and he would NOT! I literally GAVE it away.
I then purchased a Husqvarna HU700F, and I LOVE it. It’s simple to operate, starts first or second time EVERY time, easy to adjust mowing deck height; a great piece of equipment! And it was 2/3 the price of the Snapper!! Live and learn!!
