Would not want to be without it We have 13 acres to upkeep, with pastures, garden, etc. this is my favorite power house to use. De-caning raspberries ... No problem... Weeding around trees, fence lines, paddock, etc.... No problem! No problem starting on the first pull. Easy to change trimming cord. Goes and goes... Love this machine. Made my life sooo much easier... I was lugging around a hand held trimmer and that was very tiring and cumbersome. I did purchase mine from a reputable dealer completely put together not Lowes! We felt we could count on their reputation along with that of Husqvarna. Highly recommend!! July 9, 2013
Amazing Product A lot of people have given this trimmer a bad rap, but they have mostly been purchased from Lowes, where you get it in a box and put it together yourself. I got it properly setup from a power products dealer, it starts first pull every time, has good power (I have run it on half throttle or less all day), used very little fuel, and this thing has saved me at least 8 hours of work the first day. This is the best money I have spent on a lawncare product EVER!!!! I am sold on Husqvarna. July 6, 2013
won't start bought this trimmer last year, even though it had some bad reviews. got it home started pretty good the first couple of times, cuts good fairly easy to use. I ran all the gas out of it before storing for the winter, recommendation from a small engine mechanic. filled it up this spring ran for about 10 minutes and it was missing some so I poured out the gas thinking it may have some water in it. Now it won't start at all.Talked to Lowe's personal, told them what the problem was, they weren't surprised. I ask if they could send it out for repair, they told me it would be at least 8 weeks before they could get it back. I wouldn't recommend this trimmer to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I have never had any problem with Briggs engines before, this one is obviously a poorly designed engine, which I doubt, or a poorly designed product DON'T BUY ONE! June 29, 2013
Use One and done I purchased this from Lowes in 2012 I used it one time. I got tired of restringing it, every time I hit a heavy weed or thick grass the strings came off. I drained the remaining fuel and stored it for the winter in my shop that is heated and dry. I got it out to use and filled it with gas, it will not prime or start. $349.99 plus tax for one hit wonder. Now even though there are dealers all over the place they say that fuel problems aren't covered under warranty. I could have purchased 6 cheap weed eaters for the same money and got 6 years use. Don't waste your money. June 8, 2013
Good Machine, Starts on the first pull every time I purchased this machine because I have a problem holding the hand trimmers for long periods of time. This trimmer is very easy to manipulate and with a little practice, I learned the tricks of edging without hitting the fence with the string. I have cleared a thick mass of weeds and neated my entire lot with no protblems. I am very impressed. June 2, 2013
Good Machine, needs a few improvements. Just got this machine, and while it's not perfect, I am happy with my purchase. Has plenty of power and cuts through high grass, weeds and even small brush with ease. In heavier stuff I seem to break a lot of line, but I'm thinking I should slow the throttle back a little. There is an issue with it not shutting off by using the control lever. I simply reached down where the cable connects and manually pushed the throttle in to shut the machine off. That's a little bit of a pain and should be improved in furture models. Overall, I think this is definitely going to save time and my back maintaining my property. May 23, 2013
Control broke in one half hour of use I bought this trimmer on Saturday, used it the first time on Monday to cut half of my yard which is about 4,000 square feet. It ran for about a half hour and worked well but I had to use two hands to turn it off. Used it Tuesday to cut the remaining half of my yard. It cut everything it was supposed to, but it wouldn't shut off. It eventually ran out of gas, which was the only way to stop it. I went to the place where I bought it and the service person there said that the problem is a common one. In fact, he had one available for rental that he removed the control because it was too difficult to get to the off position and once there the machine wouldn't turn off. We found that the end of the cable had broken off. Also, the connection under the housing wasn't fully engaged so it couldn't stop using just the handle control. Very disappointed in the quality of this machine. May 15, 2013
Not worth the space in my garage Purchased this unit last fall & used it ONCE for ONE tank of fuel. Rolled it into the dry clean & heated garage for a couple of months. Now this spring it will not start. Fresh fuel was used last fall & fresh fuel was put it this spring. Oil clean & up to the mark ..yup. Yet still prime & yank till you are sore and winded NOTHING!
