No frills, but great deal
I was searching for a basic lawn mower. I wanted something that was sturdy and dependable but not expensive. This mower fit the bill. I actually purchased a different brand, with the high wheels and Briggs motor but it just seemed flimsy. I returned it after one mowing and ordered the Husqvarna. I am glad I did, as this mower is great. Assembly was straight forward, very simple. The thing that impressed me was how easy it started the first time and every time since. One pull and it's running. As for power, it's got plenty. Cutting through taller grass is no problem. My only minor complaint is the height of the handle. It doesn't feel natural at the set height and I consider myself to be of average height, but you grow accustomed to it quickly enough. Overall, I would buy this mower again.

Best 21" Push Mower For the $$
Anyone looking for a push mower under $300 that might last more than 2 cutting seasons needs to look no further than this 5521P. For just a bit over two hundred bucks you get a strong, time-tested engine, 21" cut, metal deck, one-pull start and a dual discharge system with one of the best mulching capabilities I've ever enjoyed. Sure a Honda or other $300-$600 mower might get you more "quality" or extended life but, as the adage goes: "you get what you pay for", and for my money I'll take two of these mowers in succession over 10 years than risk reaching that with a mower twice the cost.

Definitely not the 6021
Three years ago I purchased a Husq 6021P push-mower and loved it. It started every time and never gave me any issues except for last week, when the deck cracked where the front wheel assembly attached. So, needing a new mower, I bought this model (6021 was no longer available and it seemed comparable on paper to the 6021.) What came out of the box was not very impressive. The whole assembly is much flimsier than the 6021 and the cut is much less even. Really disappointed in the quality of the mower. The Kohler engine on the 6021 seemed much more smooth and powerful than the B&S on this one. It is also noticeably more difficult to push it in a straight trajectory as any irregularity in the surface seems to quickly bounce it off-course. Lawn looks less "clean" when I finish mowing with the 5521.

Excellent for 1-Acre and Smaller Lawns
If you read the title, just know that this is coming from a guy who works in an office and therefore likes to incorporate as much exercise into other activities as he cam; the kind of person that likes to park in the farthest parking spot and who would rather take the stairs over the elevator. That being said, I think this is an excellent small lawn mower. Powerful engine, starts reliably, great sound quality, and a sharp cutter. The only thing I can think of that is only very slightly annoying is that the rubber guard in the back tends to fold underneath the mower even when pulling the mower backwards just a few feet. This doesn't harm anything, just makes backwards maneuverability require a bit more effort. I mow roughly 3/4 acre of uneven ground and it has performed admirably. A great value.

Great Lawn Mower!
I was very impressed with this lawn mower right out of the box! It has always started on the first pull. I like the fact that one does not have to worry with a choke or priming! It really provides a smooth cut and plenty of power.

Good if you know what to watch out for.
I bought this last year. It worked fine; started on the first pull every time. I have a medium-size, level, suburban lawn. The plastic wheels haven't been a problem. First use this year the mower wouldn't start. This is where you need to know something about small engines. The spark was good. I removed the float bowl from the carburetor. It had a bit of water and some rust in it. I've heard that ethanol can cause this. Also gas tanks left empty or partly filled over the winter are subject to frost or condensation inside. So I cleaned out the float bowl and blew out the carb with compressed air. Voila! It once again starts on the first pull.

It was a lemon.
The model quit cranking after just a few months and only about 7 or 8 lawn mowings. We have spoken with customer service, and they will not cover the repair or replace. I will not purchase this brand ever again.

Best Push Mower for the $$
I shopped all the sub $300 push mowers out there before landing on this one. Rugged deck, big rear wheels, easy height adjusters and a powerful B&S engine make this a great value.
You can spend upwards of $500 for other hand mowers including those with the Honda engine, but for my bang-for-the-buck, this mower's the way to go. No more lasts as long as you want it to simply because of the nature of its use. This Husqvarna model will give you 6-10 years of solid service.
