I have put a few hours on this mower. i borrowed an Ariens from a family member to mow my yard the first time this year as my older Husqvarna finally gave up. The Ariens is also a nice machine (made by Husqvarna), but with my lawn being anything but flat and smooth it simply wasnt the right machine for the job. thats when i looked into this new Husqvarna and when i got this one home and started mowing, oh man there was a significant difference! The locking rear differential is a huge option for going up my steep wet hill (went right up with out slipping), especially at the bottom where it tends to get a little muddy. The engine is so quiet you can talk to someone in a normal voice while its idling! One more thing about the engine, im not really sure why Husqvarna put a "choke" on this machine, because i dont use it. Litterally just "flick" the ignition and it fires right up and begins to idle, you dont even need to touch the throttle! Very nice job Husqvarna and Green RIver Honda (Gill MA).

I am realy injoying this tractor. My only complaint is that the fuel level is hard to read I wish there was a regular fuel gauge on the tractor

very nice tractor
I have had the tracker only a few weeks has alot of power handles well on hill's, afew little prolems. 1 The heat shield on the engine vibrates against the exhaust tube on both sides and 2 the wire the goes to the electric clutch was rubbing on the pulley.To me this is very miner and can be taken care of.
The only other part I do not like is the brake is on the left side for me this is also a small problem , I have a disabilty with my left foot ,so at some point i will have to have the brake modifide for my foot!

Problems
Well the front tire fell off after cutting for 4.5 hours and I had to run back to the dealer for the parts.
went to fill the tank but you cannot see thru the white plastic gas gauge, why not make it out of clear gas. Overfilled and when I wiped off the gas the numbers
1 thru 4 for the mower height wiped off, yes wiped off

Finally !
This tractor is my 3rd Husky, and FINALLY, a Husqvarna tractor that does not spin the wheels & dig up the yard.
Outstanding traction & power is available. My area is in the mountains, and all yards have hills and level spots.
Mowing is smooth and without scalping.
My only complant is that the fender-shift is not available on this model. It would make operating more ergonomically correct for those with foot/leg disabilities.

Great value.
I will not bother quoting the readily available specs. I have only put a few hours on this mower but so far so good. I have a very bumpy yard and this mower handles it very well. Construction quality seems excellent. There have been no surprises. With that, I would love to see an upgraded model include a transaxle over temp indicator for a little more peace of mind when using towed accessories.
I replaced an aged Toro Proline 37 with this mower and my first impression was how incredibly quiet it is. Both the engine and the deck are smooth and low noise.

2012 Model Review
After doing many comparisons between models and vendors, I decided on this tractor. I wanted something with more durability than what I was seeing at most of the home improvement stores. Once I decided on this tractor, I got a great deal for 0% financing.
After I picked up the tractor, the very first day had to mow several inches of grass on 1/3 acre. This tractor cut like a champ. I examined the deck after completing my first cut and using the washout port and noticed something not in the current specs...the deck is a 3 blade deck, not a 2 blade. Each blade is 14 5/8". The 2012 model was changed but the website has not been updated nor the downloadable manual updated.
I did download the pdf manual ahead of time to look over maintenance requirements and get general knowledge of the tractor prior to purchase.
One thing I did notice however is that if you take a sharp turn too fast, the tractor pushes and doesn't turn due to the locker kicking in. Just something to be aware of if you have many obstacles in your environment, you may want to get the one without the locker or vi for a zero turn model.
The Kawasaki engine runs smooth and is definitely quieter than my B&S that I had on my previous 2006 model.
One nice to have feature...that isn't available (yet)... would be to have a storage console on the right hand side rear fender (gray cupholder area). It would have been nice to put the drain hose as well as the washout adapter and maybe a pair of gloves in a storage console.
The fabricated deck seem really heavy duty and looks like it will last many years with proper maintenance. Again this is a 3 blade deck with 14 5/8" blades versus the two blade 2011 model. Spindles can be greased and should help to ensure long life.
I owned a 2006 GTH2654 Husqvarna prior to this so staying with Husqvarna wasn't hard because I know the quality they deliver. I also own a Husqvarna push mower and Husqvarna 455 Rancher chain saw. Very pleased with all products and would highly recommend them for those that want a higher quality product.

Lots Of Lawns!
Purchased this model July 1, 2011... have 52 hours on the meter... do many lawns weekly for summer work... have power bagger on - works great! Did have to replace belt to power bagger after 39 hours... It will NOT clog! love it here in the NW for damp lawns! Love the non-slip rear wheels for damp, hilly terrain...
