Very Happy So Far I have never owned a lawn tractor before and was really looking for price and value. This tractor met both. I've been using in on my 3 acre property with excellent results. The Kohler engine has not given my any problems. The engine did stall once when I got into a patch of tall weeds with grass clippings all ready piled there, but otherwise the power is enough to do all I need. I also purchased the heavy duty trailer which is an excellent companion to the tractor. The mower deck was a little difficult to clean off when I ended up with a bunch of dirt clumps and grass on the top, but the hose cleanout for under the deck worked well. There is what appears to be a phone holder near the right knee which isn't large enough to hold an iPhone which was disappointing. I would recommend this as an excellent tractor/mower. Best Money ever spent This is the best purchase I have ever made when it comes to lawn equipment. I was almost sold on a Troy Bilt, but when i was talking to the dealer he changed my mind. It was only $150 more than the Troy Bilt. The extra money was well worth it. You get what you pay for. It does a great job and makes my lawn look so much better. I havent found anything I dont like about it. It is well worth the money. I baby it and take good care of it. I wash it and clean it after every use. I would definitely recommend this more. Thanks for making a great product. September 23, 2012
good mower Does really well on my half acre land, if the grass is too long you have to go over twice is i mulch, but if you bag its not a problem. Starts right away, and turns very well. August 12, 2012
My Best Lawn Tractor Yet After 5 years of used $150 tractors I finally looked for my first brand-new lawn tractor. After comparing the models from three different home improvement stores starting at $999, the HUSQVARNA YTA19K42 offered the best combination of features, quality, and price. Size: 42 inches was the widest I could go to still get in every corner of my yard. For cabin owners: This is the largest mower that fits on a 4x8 trailer (plus you can still push it). 19 horses seem to be perfect for this mower - sufficient 99% of the time. Good: The frame is nice and sturdy, the ride is comfortable, the gearless transmission allows me to mow in tight spaces - forward and backward, the speed is as fast as my back can handle in my bumpy yard, and the engine has enough power to mow down anything the wheels can drive into - up to 4 feet high (going slooow). Nice: Once I choose a speed on the hand control (which is usually full speed) I don't have to keep a foot on the pedal (which is great if you mow for an hour or more). Limits: I only managed to clog the blades with grass once while completely abusing the machine (which it takes quite well). The hand control for the gearless transmission takes getting used to and does not accelerate as smooth as a car (rodeo!). While the big wheels are good to the lawn, my attempts to go four-wheeling (mowing along a moist wetland) got me stuck several times. Luckily I only had to manually lift it out of the mud once. Future: I drive my mower like I stole it and mow down anything up to 4 feet. I bought a HUSQVARNA so I don't have to worry about it falling apart (and because Stihl doesn't make lawn mowers). So we will see what breaks first and how long the variable transmission holds up. Oh, and it mows about 50% faster than my $150 junker. Very happy so far. July 15, 2012
Decent for the money but built to a price OK, so I got this thing at Lowes, it was cheap enough, but I didnt plan on just how CHEAP it is. The hydrostatic transmission is plastic! Not just part of it, all of it. I worry about the bumps in my lawn even... Its jerky too, feels unrefined. Not sure how long these will hold up with the weight of me [200#] and the unit on a big chunk of reenforced plastic... July 11, 2012
Nice Garden Tractor This little tractor can do the job. It has good power for the price. Our biggest negative so far is the durability. We have already had a few wheel issues but were able to fix them, and we feel like some sort of foam tire should be sold WITH the tractor since most of them will be used in situations that have stickers. The meta could most certainly be stronger and more durable. Otherwise a great tractor for the money. June 30, 2012
carborator clogged less than 2 months after purchased Delivered beginning of April, Only got to mow the lawn 4 times, and here it is June and it is in the shop the carborator is clogged and they say it is not under warranty but they have to replace the carborator. what kind of construction is this? I had a craftsman mower for 15 years and didnt have a clogged carborator. Something is wrong here. June 5, 2012
Great Tractor Though I have only used my tractor 3 times, I am very pleased with it's performance. The first time I mowed with it, my lawn was about 8" and this didn't slow the tractor in the least! The only problem I've noticed is the speed control. I have to keep my hand on the transmission drive to keep it from running away with me. Perhaps this will adjust with time. I would like to have received a DVD with the tractor demonstrating maintenance as well as how to remove the deck. Overall, I'm very happy with this tractor! April 30, 2012
