Mostly great I have the YTH24V48LS. There are many things I really like about this tractor. The power is great, the cut quality is great for my needs, and it seems to be built to a good quality. One minor issue I am experiencing is that it seems awkward to get on and off the tractor. I'm a bigger guy, and I'm squeezing through to get on the seat. When I move it all the way back, which isn't a smooth procedure, I can't depress the clutch/brake fully. I can deal with this though. My one problem involves starting. I only purchased the tractor about four weeks ago. Right away I had an issue. I would turn the key and there would be nothing. It would then start with the next try. This got gradually worse until it wouldn't start at all. When the engine/starter did get power, it would start immediately. After some reading, I found the problem to be some sort of electronic plug or sensor that must detect if the clutch pedal is fully depressed before it starts the engine. This little piece was somewhat loose, and a little "jiggling" would allow the tractor to start. This too started to get worse, and just my last time out, I couldn't get off the tractor while it was running, even when the parking brake was on. I just dropped it off where I bought it yesterday, and I hope they fix the problem permanently. As long as this issue never comes back, I would fully recommend this tractor. August 18, 2013
Motors stops running Overal this could be a very good mower, but mine stops running after about 30minetes of run time, and dealer cannot figure out what's wrong with it. They say they going to put a new motor in it, rather have a different mower now. The cut off switch on the motor is too sensitive, motor quits if you try to balance the on hills. Would not recommend this mower at all. But if husky could fix these two major problems on the mower it could a good mower. July 30, 2013
Tractor is ok,fabricated deck is JUNK ! The fabricated deck looks good.Heavy duty, built like a tank !It is the worst cutting deck I have ever used. The original unit that came with the tractor had defects. It was replaced. The replacment was flawless. But it does not cut well at all either . I wish I had my old mower back again. If you have or will have one of these decks...GOOD LUCK ! July 12, 2013
only 1 small change I love my new Husqvarna. I have a slope I mow in my front yard and the power is excellent, never runs out. My only change to the design of the mower would be putting a slope in the runners where your feet sit. I am short and going down hill, there is nothing to brace your feet on, so I end up using the steering wheel, which makes it difficult if you need to steer it. I may have to modify it and attach a block of wood on the runners as a brace. Other than that I love it! Also the height attachment is right on the side you get off on so you have to move the handle to get off, plus as short as I am I cannot step on the ground without catching my pants on the handle for the height selection. John Deere is the same way. July 2, 2013
Reverse pedal is not very well placed. If there was one thing I could change about this mower is the location and the ease of the reverse foot pedal. It is often hard to get to, and there is not a lot of power when driving in reverse. Other than that, this is an outstanding mower. It is fast, cuts nice and is very comfortable. Aaron June 12, 2013
Good tractor if you want short grass We are rural and keep our grass at about 3.5-4 inches. Unfortunatly, unless you set the cutting height at 2" on this tractor, there is not enough suction in the deck to lift the grass before cutting. As a result, when cutting at 3.5 (the highest allowed and my desired height) or even 2.5 to a lesser extent, grass that isn't standing up doesn't get cut. This leave the yard with a very unprofessional look. The locking differential is very helpful on our hilly yard but don't confuse it for 4x4. It does get stuck. There is no way to lift the deck other than adjusting the cutting height. My previous tractor had a hydraulic lift in addition to the cutting adjustment. Something I miss. Turning radius is great. They say a Zero Turn mower will cut your time in half. Just salesman's talk - at least for my yard. Occasionally, I need to back up to make a sharp reverse but until that last turn, this baby turns very nicely. Oh yea, I just lost a blade. No, I don't mean it broke and I don't mean I can't find it. If found it laying in the grass. Apparently, what is supposed to hold it on came off when I hit a rock. That's better than breaking a spindle but still not expected. June 3, 2013
best lawn tractor I have ever had I have loved this mower since i got it. The 24HP kawasaki engine gives me more than enough power. I can go up a hill that's at least 35 degrees without it getting stuck. I recently used it to pull over 250 lbs. of tree limbs across 2 acres and the tractor did more than acceptable. The seat is also very comfortable with plenty of padding and plenty of back support. The large 48" deck with 3 blades gives me a huge cutting path and helps me cut my 2 acres in about 1 hr 30 min. Since i only purchased this mower about 3 weeks ago, I only have about 7 hrs on it, but love it. The only problem with it is the price. $3,000 is a little steep, but it is definitely worth the price. Heavy duty deck & turns sharp Done a lot of homework before buying this mower. This mower weighs about 120 pounds more than the cheaper ones at other retail stores. That told me it was a lot better construction than the cheaper ones. Bought this mower from a local independent Husqvarna dealer and was very impressed. After I bought it they filled it with gas, checked the deck for being level, and went over the whole mower and made sure it was ready for service. Then on top of that delivered it free! When they delivered it, they went over everything about it with me until i had no more questions. I mow 3 yards with it, I have about 10 hours on it now, the mower handles great, makes sharp turns, seat sets great with good back support. It has the heaviest and sturdiest deck of any that I have found on a lawn tractor. It also is quiet operating. It also does good on moderate slopes. Very pleased with the service and the mower so far. Will leave more feed back on this product after i get more hours on it. All though the price is a little tasty, its like the ole saying, "You get what you pay for!" May 4, 2013
