Really does a great job cutting the grass. Easy to use. If I was to change anything. It would be the turning. The wheels turn so sharp it diggs up the grass. Long as your careful when turning its all right.

Best yard tractor I've ever owned
I've owned 3 different tractors and used the green one my son owns. Nothing comes close to this one. My yard looks like a carpet when I finish mowing it. It used to take me two days with my red mower now it takes three hours. This actually cost less than my other one. If you try one you will buy one.

Pretty good tractor, but room for improvement
I have 10 hours on it so far, so these are my initial observations. My grass got pretty tall from the time when my old tractor broke down until the time this one arrived. This tractor had no issues what so ever mowing the tall grass. The engine didn't labor even in the deepest grass. The side discharge blades really throw the grass a long ways. The tractor is very comfortable, rides smooth, and the engine is smooth and quiet as well. I like the way it is put together, with all the maintenance parts in plain view. The hood comes off with no tools. When the hood is off, the air filter, oil filter, drain plug, spark plugs, starter, and carburetor are all out in the open ,easy to maintain yourself if you wish to do so. Underneath, the belts and deck look easy to remove when you need to. I LOVE that Husqvarna put all maintenance part numbers on a decal under the hood. I don't like that the fuel level window is useless (can't read it at any level). The frame hits the deck on rough ground, removing paint on the deck. The deck will scalp lawn unless it is on highest level ( my lawn is not the flat golf course type). The tractor has a built in trickle charger, but does not come with a cord. On a tractor with a MSRP of $2200 why cheap out on supplying a cord ? It took some time to get used to the drive pedal, where if you are cruising along, let up off the pedal quickly, it will stop immediately. So either be smooth on the pedal or brace yourself. The cruise control doesn't work at low speeds.I'm not particularly impressed with the fit and finish of the plastic near the steering wheel. The ignition switch, and attachment clutch button have a little slop in it when you use them. Not an issue now, but probably will be in the future.Overall, I am happy I bought this one over a cheaper one from a big box store. The quality is as good as or better than most that I looked at. Most of my complaints I knew about going in, so it was no surprise when my tractor did it. Despite its shortcomings, I feel this tractor will last as long as my last one (30 years), as long as it is well maintained.

Enjoy the ride
I 've had this tractor for a month and it is the smoothest, quietest tractor I have own or ridden. The cut is nice and the power is more than enough. The one thing you do have to watch out for is that there is so much power, that going around corners you have slow down or the tractor will push right through it. But I love it!

Had this mower for 2 weeks, was the worse cutting mower I have ever used. On corners it trashed the yard, cut to deep. The hydra static drive is a joke. The motor sounded like it was about to come apart when you shut it off and it was a gas guzzler. I have had chain saw form this company and loved it, so I suggest stick with what you know. I took to mower back to Lowes and lucky for me they let me return it and bought a Troy Built and I am glad.

A comfortable ride
Comfortable seat, handy controls, lots of power are features I like. It's a bit of a gas hog compared to my old one cylinder Kohler, and removal of the mower deck is not a simple job. Some areas in my lawn have uneven ground, so I do miss having a roller on the back of the deck; unless the rollers and deck are carefully adjusted and tire pressure is carefully set scalping will occur. However, all in all I'm very happy with the product. A great value for the money spent.

Just purchased the YT46LS for my wife to help with our 2 acres of lawn. She loves this machine! We looked at all the others and found this machine the best on the market. Cuts great, runs smooth and looks great. Easy on fuel also. The deck wash works great. The mower was simple to operate after 1 cut she was cutting like a veteran. Some others run like a deer but Husqvarna cuts like a PRO !!! Keep up the good work Husqvarna!!!!!

I take care of 2 family properties mowing about 1.5 acres each week in the southwestern part of West Virginia. Roughly 2/3's of this property is sloped hillside.
After a lot of research I purchased the YT46LS because it appeared to be the best value for mowing hillside slopes and because I wanted a two blade mower to reduce maintenance and maybe get a better cut.
The direct drive transmission worked as expected. Yes it did conquer the hillsides going both up and down hill. The brakes worked good. The mowing power was good and the two blade deck gave a better cut than I expected.
On the flat parts, it did a nice job but turning too sharp can tear up the grass a bit so I will have to modify my lawn plan a little to reduce the sharp turns.
My biggest concern was being able to power up and down the slopes without loosing traction and I give it an A+.
Price was another big consideration. I needed the best value to cut grass on slopes, and I think I found it.
I purchased it from a local dealer and they did a great job servicing it before I picked it up. Warranty, Service and Parts are just a few miles down the road.
