Just bought one from Lowes. First riding lawn mower for four acres. I wanted a John Deer as from what I researched seems that they have better service but the 2654 looked like it was slightly better built then the J.D.s setting in Lowes beside it. Got it home and started. The wife wanted to try it out as she'd never rode one. 2 and a half hours later property was done. She never let me back on. So I set in the shade and had a cold drink. Darn good mower. Can't tell you much about it though. Guess its hers now.

Purchased tractor from local Lowes to mow a 1 acre yard. The tractor has plenty of power and seems to mow decent. However, this tractor was purchased to replace a Troybilt 2654 model that was purchased from Lowes as well which had to have the electric clutch replaced twice. Thinking that this issue was just a fluke, I purchased a new Husky 2654 and after 11 hours use, the clutch shorted out. I was not cutting tall grass or bogging down the mower when this occured. I take good care of my equipment, clean it after each use, and do all required maint. and would expect it to last at least several years for the price it cost. Anyway, it is under warrenty and was dropped off at Lowes to be sent out for repairs. Hopefully the clutch issue with these type of tractors is resolved since more and more people are reporting issues.

Dont waste your money on this tractor
While the tractor itself is nice, the mower deck is a mess. Front left corner of the deck has a section that drops down about an inch and a half below the rest of the deck. This leaves you with 2 mowing options. Either raise the deck off the ground just enough to keep this section off the ground, which leaves your lawn still looking uncut, or lower the deck 1 notch and the corner tears your yard apart. After 1 week I returned it and got a john deere that cuts the lawn quite nicely.

LOVE THIS MOWER!!!
I JUST FINISHED CUTTING MY LAWN THAT WAS VERY HIGH BECAUSE OF RELENTLESS RAIN. i DON'T NORMALLY CUT WHEN THE GRASS IS WET, BUT IT NEEDED IT BAD AS MORE RAIN COMING SOON. THIS MOVER CUT MY LAWN IN HALF THE TIME AS MY JOHN DEERE I JUST SOLD. POWERFUL, TURNING RATIO IS TIGHT AND SMOOTH. I LIKE THE HAND OPERATED SPEED CONTROL BETTER THAN USING MY FOOT. IT WILL TAKE GETTING USED TO BUT I LIKE IT! I WOULD HAVE TO AGREE WITH THE KEY REVERSE ISSUE, BUT IT'S A SAFETY THING. CAN'T WAIT TO CUT AGAIN!!!

What a mess
I bought my first LGT2654 54" and it had some problems. The hydormatic transmission kept slipping into reverse going up hill and it would bog down in 5" grass and it ripped more of the grass than cutting it. Now if that was'nt enough there was a rattle in the deck and the engine backed fired following the instructions. I took it back and exchanged it for another on and it was alot better except it does'nt cut very well and I belive there is not enough power going to the deck or they have put cheap blades on it. So, I took that one back and got the fasttracker 48" and am waiting to see how it works. to be fair, I used my Murry 40" 13hp mower next to it and it put the 54" to shame.

Kills the left hand
If you have ANY turning to do with this mower it will kill your left hand and wrist. The fact that you are constantly speeding up and slowing down means you have to keep the throttle hand in use on the stick for forward/reverse and the left hand has to do all the steering. This was a BIG mistake by the Mfg. and if I had known it was going to cause me so much pain I would have returned it in the first 30 days to my Lowes and gotten a Deere. The power doesn't impress me either and it seems to struggle in anything too high. Just not happy with this thing!!!!

Nothing but trouble, very poor quality. Has issues with the front end already and have had nothing but trouble out of the front wheel bushings after the first summer mowing. It is apparent to me, an unskilled Registered Nurse, that it is not the bushings that are the problem, but the front end. Had it shipped off, and the facility Lowes used put a new bushing in it, sent it back, and refused to pay for the repair. Not sure what I'm going to do now. I will never purchase one of these again.

The first one was returned
it was returned because the bolts were coming out where out of the bos they hadnt been tightened to specs.the second one is fine i love the comfort of the mower. the draw back is the briggs engine my 18 hp kohler of 20 yrs started easier and seem to have as much power but i only cut with this about 9 times so we will have to see about the durability.and im not a fan of the key needing to be in a different position for the mower to be in reverse and the silver husqvarna emblems on the cowl are coming off already .even with hard starting it has never failed to sart and it cuts great and has good speed and i would recommend it just go with kohler or kawasaki engines.
