Design of Mower The Floorboard /Fender Assembly does not work with the Fabricated Deck. No way to use the 3.5 inch height setting without taking off the paint on the Spindle Covers and bottom of Floorboards. Visual fuel Gauge is useless. Can't see how much fuel is in it. Doesn't really cut very well for a 3300 dollar mower. You need to contact American Yard Products and have them address these issues. June 15, 2013
Good Value I mow about 2 acres in Michigan. Like the speed you can mow at and still get a clean cut. Wish it had the Locking Rear Differential. Also would be nice to have better reverse speed. The Kawasaki Motor has great power, easy starts, and low fuel consumption compared to a Briggs or Kohler. June 6, 2013
for a few more dollars after owning 4 simplicity, and 1 deere, I needed a unit for the three acres surrounding a second home (wooded). I did not want to destroy a high priced simplicity which I was replacing, a 1977. I researched and decided the GT with a Kawasaki engine and the welded deck was for me. Everything I needed for a wooded cabin property. My only comment is: I would have paid more for a posi rear end, better brake and reverse pedals, and better fit and finish. STILL a great value, but for 5-700 more is could be a trend setter. May 30, 2013
Love it!!! So much power and durability! Love the even cut and speed at which I can get my lawn done...Only issue is it is hard to read my gas gauge. I feel safe and stable on the slopes I have to mow too! May 17, 2013
The best value, period! I have 3 acres of grass in Alabama. Really wanted big zero turn $8-10 thousands but couldn't afford it. Also needed to pull my little dump cart with. So, I started looking for lawn tractor or zero turn $3-6 thousands. I decided I would like to pay around $3,500 not more than that. I did lots of research and found John Deere and Husqvarna lawn tractors, both similar horsepower and size of deck. To be perfectly honest, I went to see both of them in one day and made my decision right away. Husqvarna offered me the same size of deck & engine for $2,000 cheaper. And mainly, I couldn't believe how sturdy the deck looked on the Husqvarna lawnmower compared to John Deere. Another plus, I couldn't believe it was approved for 36 month loan with 0 interest. I don't trust those type of advertising. But I really got it and the only thing I overpaid was a $125 registration fee. It is great! I have one little payment every month $89. Anyway, It has been 14 months since I bought this lawn mower. Can't complain about anything. It is reliable, strong, comfortable. Really good worker for that kind of money. I recommend this lawn tractor to anyone! May 16, 2013
Great Tractor, Awesome value. I choose the GT52XLS because of the Kawasaki engine and the "Fast" transmission. This tractor has no problem pulling a 60" by 96" gravel road drag. I groomed a very badly pot holed, 500' driveway in a matter of hours. This tractor is not lacking in power and preformance. The mow quality with the multching kit is awesome. I couldn't be happier so far. The reason the "Durability" is a 3, is because I need more hours on it ot fairly rate it. May 14, 2013
Solid offering, probably unsurpassed under 3 G's The Kawasaki motor and the Hydrogear tranny are the best part here. The bad: But in my first week of putting it though abuse, I wish it had a locking differential, its nothing special for traction. Ergo wise it is hard to get off of in a strange way. I don't like the way the floorboards turn up--so they hold plenty of water to facilitate rust. Its quiet until you turn on the blades and then they are very noisy, it is to be expected, but these will make you feel as if you may take off like a helicopter. The good: seems to be good on gas in its first week, very impressive economy. The motor is just awesome and purrs and sounds nice at lower idle speeds also. It is pretty light, as I am 200lbs and 42 years old, and when it was spinning in a mud hole (to be expected) , I was still able to do the old lift up the rear and move it over routine. All in all it is a sharp mower and my yard is pretty gnarly, almost any lawnmowerhere is a pain in the butt, so I am being pretty hard on it. Just wish it were more tractable or 4wd. Price was awesome as a 10% off last week at Colemans in Southern IL landed me the mower for 2900.00 plus tax etc. VERY GOOD features in this range. But I wish I could have a locker like on the tuff tork tranny's, but i dont want that light of a tranny. April 12, 2013
Great Machine My last John Deere cost $5000.00 and lasted 15 years and this machine is hands down a much better unit. The price performance is unmatched in the mark today. There are two things that stand out. The Kawasaki motor which starts instantly with the turn of the key and welded deck that has been flawless. We live in an area that has alot of sand that really beats up the steel so the strength of the deck is very important. Plus that fact that the deck is welded and will allow for repair unlike the stamped decks on lesser units. It also very fast. Very satisfied! April 3, 2013
