Cadillac compared to my old lawn tractor.
Had an old Ford lawn tractor that was a tank, but had slow travel speeds and smaller mower deck. The one thing I don't like about the GT52XLS is how the frame flexes but my old machine had a solid tube frame and they don't make them like that anymore, anyone I talked to say flexing is normal. I looked at a John Deere and this Husqvarna, for the price versus what I wanted, there was no comparison, Husqvarna all the way. Pros: Very smooth quiet powerful engine, tough wide fabricated mower deck, strong fast smooth transmission, do wish it had the diff lock though, love the wide tires, pushes through my yard whether its dry or really wet. The whole operators platform is really comfortable and controls are easy to use. Its harder on gas than I'm used to but it also cuts more per swipe and moves much faster, cut my mowing time from 2.5 to 1.5 hours, so the extra fuel is worth it. The short turning radius is really nice too. The warranty on this machine is unmatched by any other machine I researched, so that means that Husqvarna is confident in what they're selling. My yard is rough in places and this machine goes over no problem with no shock to the body. I look forward to mowing every week, overall all a fantastic machine, recommend to anyone.

I look forward to mowing now!
I replaced my commercial Toro Zero Turn with the GT52XLS. It was a great decision. I get more work done in less time. I have put 17 hr on it in 3 weeks.
I mow mostly field grass, about 3 acres a week, and it handles it with ease.
I can do all the maintenance on it which was almost impossible on the Toro. It is saving me time and money.
This one is very well built. It handles great and the rough terrain is no problem. It handles hills with ease and thick, heavy grass is no problem either. It churns through it and keeps right on going. Using it to edge around trees is easy too.
I am very impressed with this machine. Makes me wish I had more grass to mow!

I would highly recommend this mower. I keep about 4 acres mowed around my home and some of the land is very undulating. This mower handles the job twice a week during the mowing season with ease. I also have a small yard trailer I pull behind the mower which I use to haul tree limbs, soil, rocks and general yard debris. I would also like to give my Husqvarna dealer J & B Greene a lot of credit for me buying this mower and for their great customer service.

Love it! Built like a tank!
Just brought home my GT52XLS yesterday and closer inspection shows this thing is built solid. Love the heavy duty deck. I have 5 acres of rolling hills with some sections that are steep. 1 acre is open flat area so I am excited to try out the speed on this section. No issues from factory. I did not rate durability or performance as I have not mowed yet. See attached photos.

So far, this is a great tractor. Plenty of power and turns on a dime. Very close to speed of ZT. Great value

Design of Mower
The Floorboard /Fender Assembly does not work with the Fabricated Deck. No way to use the 3.5 inch height setting without taking off the paint on the Spindle Covers and bottom of Floorboards. Visual fuel Gauge is useless. Can't see how much fuel is in it. Doesn't really cut very well for a 3300 dollar mower. You need to contact American Yard Products and have them address these issues.

I mow about 2 acres in Michigan. Like the speed you can mow at and still get a clean cut. Wish it had the Locking Rear Differential. Also would be nice to have better reverse speed. The Kawasaki Motor has great power, easy starts, and low fuel consumption compared to a Briggs or Kohler.

for a few more dollars
after owning 4 simplicity, and 1 deere, I needed a unit for the three acres surrounding a second home (wooded). I did not want to destroy a high priced simplicity which I was replacing, a 1977. I researched and decided the GT with a Kawasaki engine and the welded deck was for me. Everything I needed for a wooded cabin property. My only comment is: I would have paid more for a posi rear end, better brake and reverse pedals, and better fit and finish. STILL a great value, but for 5-700 more is could be a trend setter.
