7 weeks and counting
How can I know how my GT52XLS performs: I'VE NEVER RECEIVED IT. This has been on order for 7 weeks, and counting. Both my neighbor and I ordered one the same day, the dealer called in the order and Husq. told them "manufacture next week, delivery 2-3 days, you'll have them in two weeks".
At the end of three weeks: "Oh, it will be another week, and we aren't responsible for telling you what's happening". Every week since then, ANOTHER WEEK DELAY.
The dealer called again today, the story has changed: now it is TWO more weeks till manufacture. Since the shop owner wasn't there, one of his guys was honest: "Well, you know that Husq. does this all the time and isn't very reliable".
So: Husq. What's the story? Why can't you build what I've ordered and paid for?? Why can't you stick to the production times you've advised???
For now, I still have to mow 1+ acre by hand with a 22" push mower. Unhappy: UBETCHA

Best tractor for the money
After much research, I bought the GT52XLS, I have a 72 New HollandS-14 garden tractor, and an Ariens 1975 S-12 with frontend loader, so I'm very familiar with quality garden tractors. I wanted something new and dependable to mow my 3 acres with, I wanted the heft and quality of a garden tractor. After a lot of shopping around, I found the Husky, wow what a great machine, loaded with features, and quality built. It as nice and heavy as my neighbors JD X500 for about half the price! I have 20 hours on it now, and couldn't be more pleased. If your looking for a great tractor at a reasonable price, this is it. The deck is bulletproof, an the engine runs like a dream, it is so comfortable to drive and use, the turning radius is sharp and steering is concise. I'm very pleased with this tractor, it's not as heavy as my vintage tractors, but by todays standards, it's very well built. And the dealership, Weavers power equipment was excellent, free delivery, and full tank of gas! Thank you for building such a nice tractor at an affordable price, looking forward to many years of use.

Great so far....
I have had a Craftsman 42" hydro for 14 years it has been a good one but it is getting old. I bought this one and the 52" cut is faster no doubt, but it is a 3 blader and I have yet to see a 3 blader out cut a 2 blader. I will say it is really close, but it is new also. I like the commercial type deck, it does not hold grass like the older stamped decks do, and it is much thicker metal. This mower is fast, it will cut way faster than my body will let me go!!!, it rides good, steers good, and has plenty of power. By the way I cut 3 acres a week in my all highway grass yard. I am sure if you have regular grass this would give the perfect cut, but I have never seen anything cut highway grass perfectly. I feel like this mower will last me 20+ years, and just for the record, I keep my equipment well serviced for I do it all myself.

I have had mine for over a year now. This is a well-built, solid machine. Not sure you'll find anything else like it in the same price range. The fab deck, Kawasaki engine, and HydroGear transmission all make this a great value. It's a smooth machine that provides a nice cut. May yard looks great!

I agree with Jimmy; great tractor poor deck
I totally agree with Jimmy . I will add that the gauge wheels are not strong enough.

Great value, but....
I've had my GT52XLS over a year now on around 3 bumpy acres, and what I like about it are the engine, value, transmission, and the deck. My gripes are the chassis seems to flex quite a bit, which leaves lines cut into uneven terrain. Everything is balanced and level, so the cut looks great on the smoother parts of the yard, but the unevenness is much more pronounced than on my neighbors x500. Granted, I previously used a 48" track 48" mower which didn't have the issues, I didn't think an extra 4" would do that.
It also used to rattle very loudly, I've found to pry back the heat shield a bit from where it was touching solved it nicely. For better steering, raise the pressure a bit in the front tires, then check your deck level again, etc. Also, even though I have a leveling gauge and move the deck up and down in between adjustments, it still seems to take some luck.
Other than the few problems and occasional cut quality issues, I'm very happy with the orange mower. Is the x500 green mower overall nicer and steers easily? Heck yes! but it only cuts marginally better at the moment.

Better than a Deere
I was considering the 500 series Deere, but when I looked at the fact that I could buy two of these Husqvarna's and still have money left over I tried the Husqvarna instead of the Deere. I was not disappointed. This mower has tons of power and a very powerful transmission. The Kawasaki engine is very quiet compared to my old Craftsman which had a Kohler. I am also very pleased with the cut. I know I will get many happy years out of this garden tractor.

I bought the GT52XlS tractor brand new with the baggier system. I know the tractor was reliable, but I was questionable about the baggier system. The 3 times that I used the tractor to cut the grass is was little wet "I'm not talking soaking wet" the baggier would get clogged up. After my 3rd cut the belt broke on the baggier system. For $840 I would think that the system would be pristine. I use to landscaped and have used many machines even in the rain when we were backed up, so I know how wet is too wet. Because of the second system with the baggier it tends to get clogged easily. I hope they come up with a solution for this problem.
