HUSQVARNA FAST TRACTOR™ YTH24K48
Purchased my YTH24K48 tractor in Oct. 2013. Delighted so far. I have cut my grass three times and this is one powerful and smooth riding tractor. So glad I got the 24 hp Kohler engine. I had the mulch kit installed and it really does a great job leaving hardly any trace of grass clippings. I had the grass deflector removed before having the mulch kit installed. This allows me to trim close to buildings, flower and tree beds from either sides of the tractor. I would recommend buying the tractor from a independent Husqvarna dealer that also services their tractors on site. My dealer also sold commercial tractors and other name brand tractors. I say this because such dealers do a great job in going over the tractor before delivery and can repair it if needed. You can always call the service dept. re: questions, etc. They make sure that the transmission has been purged as the manual recommends. They also check to make sure such items as the mower deck is level, tire pressure and all bolts ,belts etc. are tightened and adjusted properly. They also go over how to operate the tractor when they deliver it. You wont get that from a box store such as Lowes or Home depot. The pricing is generally the same but I got a better deal since I bought it at the end of the season and also was able to trade in my old lawn tractor! Here are some other suggestions: you must adjust your 4 anti scalp wheels on the mower deck to the height level that you want to mow your grass. Its easy to do and just follow the directions in the manual. There was some negative reviews about how the grass clippings and leaves get caught in the belt spindle covers on the mower deck. That is not a problem if you just lower the mower deck to the ground when finished, turn off the mower and use your driveway grass blower on each side of the black spindle cover to remove all the clippings. The turning radius is about 16 inches which is fine. Love the foot pedal drive! The reverse drive while the blades are engaged is also a nice feature. Make sure you review the manual before you operate the tractor . Although some of the sears craftsman mowers are made by Husqvarna, the are not as solidly built. Dont buy the Sears version. The speed of the tractor is also impressive.

We bought this lawnmower after having to take our old yard Machine to the repair shop many times these past few years. We decided to upgrade to this tractor and boy are we glad we did. We got the 3 bin bagger attachment too, and it has made all the difference in our lawn. We have about 2 acres to mow, and it can do anything.

Not holding up!
Bought this tractor, mulch kit and 3 bin bagger over a year ago and loved it initially. However, after several mowing using the bagger the bagger mount welds failed. Upon closer inspection it was evident the welds were never really welded to the mount.
I paid to have that fixed. About a month latter one of the front tires developed a golf ball size bump on the tread, took it to the deal who told me there was a recall on the tires. Replaced under warranty. Now after about a year and a half, all the three welds on the right side of the deck mounting bracket failed and fell off just like the bagger. It looks almost like oil or something was on the deck as the welds are perfectly flat and just fell off. I will take it to the dealer and hope they fix it.
This tractor had the potential to be a great little tractor, but reliability is important and foe the money this is not the best bang for your buck.

A good riding mower
This mower has good power. I like the electric blade engagement feature. I also like the separate pedals for forward and reverse. They work really well. I like the hour meter being standard on this model too. It is very maneuverable for its size also. It cuts fairly good also.

Waited a Summer to Write This...
After seeing the wonderful reviews this tractor was getting online, the decision to purchase this tractor was an easy one. I have an acre of property with a fairly steep grade. When I first moved in, I purchased a Craftsman DLS 3500, 46", 20HP. After the first season of cutting, I realized I had made a mistake. The property was too much for this tractor to handle. I needed to move up. I was a bit skeptical that a 48" tractor could tackle the challenge, but thought the HP from the 24k48 would make up for the size. After my first season with this tractor I can confidently say I was correct. This tractor is very well designed and well built. It's rugged and appears to be very durable so far. I'm 6'5" and 270 pounds and this tractor supports my frame without issue. The arms on the seat are a great idea, especially for those of us with hilly terrain. The engine power is excellent. I no longer find myself needing more. The ergonomics are good. Things are where they should be and are mostly intuitive. The performance is good. As for the price? I don't feel there is a greater value on the market today. I experienced some minor issues "Off the truck". The engine ran rough the first several times I started the tractor for thirty seconds or so. This issue went away. I just found I have an intermittent head lamp (yet to be diagnosed), but that's about it. I really like this tractor and would feel confident in recommending it to everyone. I'm excited to see how Husqvarna decides to improve on this series of tractors. Nice job, guys!

All around great mower!
Put gas in and fired right up. Very nice and even cut. Bought mulching attachment and does a great job. Makes cutting the yard relaxing and enjoyable. Can't wait for grass to grow so I can get back out and enjoy the mower.
