FT900 Getting along in years my wife and I have decided to cut back on garden size. The FT900 was able to till my 20' x 35' garden spot in about 2 hours to a depth of 12". I was able to till a little over an hour per tank of gas. After spreading manure and compost it took about 30 minutes to till this in to a depth of 6-8". The FT900 is light enough that my wife and I can move it easily and small enough to use in tight spaces. The reverse feature is great, no more dragging the tiller back from a corner or row end. One of the best feature's is the "easy start". My wife can pull and start the FT900 as easy as I can. We love it. April 18, 2011
very great tiller The ft900 is the first tiller that we bought new and the reason we bought the ft900 was the price was great and I spent over a month looking for a tiller that the price was right so I could afford it.If I was to buy another tiller it would be another ft900 because it handles really great and gets the job done. FT900 Tiller Review Great front tine tiller with plenty of power and light weight for its size. I wish I had more flexibility to adjust individual tines instead of all being welded on one section. Problems I had during my first use was the starter recoil did not recoil; then I lost several nuts and bolts that held the stabilizing bar together-they must have not been properly tightened during assembly. Great Little Tiller So far so good, this smaller tiller has done a wonderful job, starts with 1 pull every time, easy to use and maintane. Would recommend highly. April 14, 2011
great little tiller Everything about this little tiller is great. For a small(20x20 in my case) garden, it is hands down heavy enough to do the job. Easy to control, and doesn't beat you to h e double hockey sticks, even in hard Texas clay!!! April 14, 2011
Outstanding tiller - at a great price! I purchased this tiller last spring because I was tired of digging my 16x20 garden by hand. This tiller worked prefectly - it does a LOT of work effortlessly. The unit started on the first pull when I first brought it home, and it started on the first pull when I used it several other times throughout the summer. I just pulled it out this spring to get ready for this year's gardeninig season, and it started on the first pull once again. Incredible. This unit is very sturdy and solidly built. It eats up my garden effortlessly, and I haven't once detected any hint that the engine is being taxed. Being able to adjust the tines to the 12" position also comes in very handy for cultivating weeds. The reverse gear is a real back-saver when you need to reverse the machine or get out of deep dirt. The unit is built much more solid and heavier duty than most of competitive front tine tillers. I am delighted with this purchase. This unit completely meets my expectations, and works fantastic. And it's built very solid so I am confident it will last for many years to come. Kudos to Husqvarna for developing a great product at a good price! March 30, 2011
Performs perfectly! Was able to work a large garden all season long without any problems. The reverse is a real back saver. Great throttle response. Perfect for small or large gardens. February 28, 2011
good tiller did a lot research on line as far as reveiws. i was looking for a well made and depenable machine. also a good price. my old tiller was not able to get parts any more. i have used the tiller one season and no problems. i live in new england with very rocky soil my old tiller used to stall when a rocks would get caught in the tines. this one powers right through and the engine is the same size. all in all works great for me so far. only assembly was to attach the arms and oil in engine. i also got a great price at sears. impressed with product and will check out more husqvarna products when the time comes to purchase more lawn and garden tools.
