HUSQVARNA 460 Rancher 4.7 5 194 194
Power to spare I needed a chain saw with some punch due to some recent blowdowns on my property. I was origonally looking at the 455 Rancher. After pricing around town and on the internet, I finally decided to move on the 455 at a local distributor. Well, it turned out they were out of the 455, but had a 460 in stock. The sales person made me a deal on the 460 (same price as the 455) so I couldn't pass on it. The extra ccs really come in handy going through a 20" plus tree. I also like the features it has. the compression release while cranking cold is great. Trust me... for around the home and ranch, this saw will habndle anything you put it on. February 28, 2011
Rancher review This has been an awesome saw. Starts very easily, great ergos' tons of power. I enjoy the faster chain speed of the Husky over the plastic backed competition! Only complaint, needs a larger gas tank. February 27, 2011
460 Chainsaw This saw is very lightweight, powerful and easy to use. My only problem is that it leaks oil. I have not yet figured out if its from the fuel mixture or the bar oil. February 27, 2011
Husky 460 After 30 years of using the "other guys" I felt their quality was slipping so I decided to try Husky. So far I haven't been disappointed. This saw has gone through about 20 cords of firewood. It starts easily, has good power to weight ratio, but I still use a lighter saw for smaller wood. The only criticism I can offer is that I would prefer to see the chain adjustment mounted to the saw body rather than to the removable cover. February 26, 2011
This is a great saw I have a 460 Rancher with a 18" bar. It handles good and is light for this size of a saw. It starts easier than any of my other saws with the compression release and has plenty of power, even with the aggressive style chain that it came with. I've cut about 5 cord of wood with it so far without any problems. It could use a little better clutch for its power (lock up at a lower rpm), but bottom line I like this saw allot and would recommend it to anybody that heats with wood. February 25, 2011
Reliable and dependable I burn 3-4 cord a winter. This saw will cut right through any hard wood you come up against. As long as you keep the chain sharp, this saw will cut all day. It did 4 cord last year, started right up yesterday. For a home owner who burns wood, you can't find a better saw. February 25, 2011
