460 rancher is a great saw i have had mine for over a year now and absolutely love it. starts nice and easy with the compression release when cold on second pull. and when it cranks it is ready to go. this bad boy has got some real good power so be careful and overall weight is not bad at all. I love it..... I love it. It is the best saw i ever bought. It dependable saw. It start on the first pull. I have had no problems with this saw. February 28, 2011
big powerful saw needed a good saw for cutting firewood, cannot be more happy with this saw. Starts within a few pulls of sitting all winter, can easily be stripped down and blown out with an air compressor. Gets pretty good "fuel economy" for being such a big saw. Seems like cutting all day it doesn't break a sweat. Obviously its a big saw that makes it pretty dangerous, but it feels secure in hands when cutting though. Plenty of power for people who need a lot of use out of it. February 28, 2011
Very good saw Have only had for less than one year, so not sure about durability. Power is good and performance seems to be great. I live at 8000ft. and it runs like a champ at 0 degrees, and also great at 90 degrees. The only con is the chain seems to loosen a lot and is hard to replace. No harder than anyother chain saw though. February 28, 2011
Power to spare I needed a chain saw with some punch due to some recent blowdowns on my property. I was origonally looking at the 455 Rancher. After pricing around town and on the internet, I finally decided to move on the 455 at a local distributor. Well, it turned out they were out of the 455, but had a 460 in stock. The sales person made me a deal on the 460 (same price as the 455) so I couldn't pass on it. The extra ccs really come in handy going through a 20" plus tree. I also like the features it has. the compression release while cranking cold is great. Trust me... for around the home and ranch, this saw will habndle anything you put it on. February 28, 2011
Rancher review This has been an awesome saw. Starts very easily, great ergos' tons of power. I enjoy the faster chain speed of the Husky over the plastic backed competition! Only complaint, needs a larger gas tank. February 27, 2011
460 Chainsaw This saw is very lightweight, powerful and easy to use. My only problem is that it leaks oil. I have not yet figured out if its from the fuel mixture or the bar oil. February 27, 2011
Husky 460 After 30 years of using the "other guys" I felt their quality was slipping so I decided to try Husky. So far I haven't been disappointed. This saw has gone through about 20 cords of firewood. It starts easily, has good power to weight ratio, but I still use a lighter saw for smaller wood. The only criticism I can offer is that I would prefer to see the chain adjustment mounted to the saw body rather than to the removable cover. February 26, 2011
