second 450 chainsaw, replaced a 1986 model
we purchased a new 450 husqvarna chainsaw in october, our previous one was purchased in1986, it was a 450 limited edition and had been very reliable, we have used it to clear several home sites, 4 exactly. the reason we purchased a new one is that when we had a barn built one o. f the workers stole our original saw, it was made with more metal than the new ones. so far this saw has performed great and hopefully we wont need to purchase another. the stolen saw still had the original spark plug and pull cord, it was excellent

Best bang for the buck
This is the saw I should have bought years ago. Its only 10cc more than my old one but it performs better than I could have asked for. Im always looking to get the most bang for my buck--This is it. The day after I got it I was tearing thru Maple and Ash--and I mean tearing. These weren't little branches, up to about 30 inches. Starting is a breeze. Vibration is much less than I would have thought. I also go thru a lot less fuel.

HAPPY WITH SAW
GOOD SAW replaced my homedepot homelite saw that only barely lasted one season. Guess you get what you pay for.
currently have a huysqvarna chainsaw, trimmer, and snow thrower.

Good design making for ease of use. Controls are easily accessible, i.e.; combined stop & start control, chain brake for safety, throttle control & throttle lockout.

The best chainsaw I ever had
Love it, has everything a homeowner could ever ask for in a saw!

I bought this saw after hurricane Irene blew through eastern N.C. and knocked over dozens of trees in our neighborhood. This thing ate through 100 year old pine and oak trees like it was cutting butter. I also have a Husqvarna weed wacker and I love how easy it is to replace the line on the spool. Great products, would recommend Husqvarna to any one.

Even though it's heavier than my old chainsaw (another brand), the 450 feels light (and I say this as an older woman using it). It's well balanced, doesn't vibrate, starts easily (after I figured out all the stupid little pictures. Words would be much easier!) and cuts well. I've run it through some big dry locust and oak logs. It took a while on the oak but made it through without any real trouble. It zipped on through the somewhat smaller (14") locust. So far, I'm very happy with it.

I bought this chainsaw for cleanup for Hurricane Irene and for rergular use since I have a wood burning stove. The saw is great, plenty of power easy to use. I strongly recommend it
