A fast wood-eating machine
I have two other chainsaws (16 McCulloch which is over 25 years old and still runs good and never gave me problems. Also have a newer 18" Poulan Pro which is never reliable.) Bought this Husq450 (20") so I could finish cleaning up from Sandy's wrath of uprooting a few Beech trees which were from the beginning of time. These are huge trees and when they came down they also took five other medium size trees down with them. Needless to say I had my work cut out for me. After spending too many days getting frustrated with the Poulan I spent a lot of time researching before I broke down and bought the Husq450. Without a doubt it was the easiest chain saw to start and I did not find any problems with it's weight. Since this saw is balanced perfectly you don't get tired. This saw just chews up the wood and asks for more!

My little Buddy
Well this is my first chainsaw and I love it I live in south Texas and all I cut is mesqit its like a hot kinve thru butter as long as keep the chains sharp I only see tow bad things in this saw. It leaks oil so I turn it on its side that seem to work and the other thing it could use abit more torque but its a good saw I have drop the saw from over ten feet and started right up and back to work

This saw is a great machine! You will not be disappointed if you decide to get one. I cut down three apple trees as soon as I bought it with out hitch. Only one thing that I found was that the chain dulled easy but not a big thing as long as you keep it sharp.

This is a great small saw.
I worked in the woods for 8 years so I no saws. This is the first time I have ever bought a Husqvarna. It is the best little saw I have ever run.I tried the 450 out on beach, yellow birch and rock maple all 14 inches threw. It cut a little slower then my big saw but I do not care about that seams the saw is so light and easy to use.I got a 4 year warrenty on it also. The only problem I had was I sawed all my wood up now I can't use the saw anymore for a while. As a result I am a bit sad about that.I do not like the 450 I love it.

I have been using this saw for 4 weeks and I am very happy that I purchased the Husqvarna 450 instead of a lower priced internet special from China. I wanted a dependable everyday saw that would handle the toughest trees and be easy to maintain. I used my previous Homelite 240 for 28 years and lately it was down for repairs and maintenance more than it was up for cutting. I had recently moved to a new piece of property that is 8+ acres of Oak and Madrone hardwood that has never been cleaned up and maintained. There are some very large trees that have fallen in storms in the past and the fire hazard they present needs addressing. I will be very busy with my Husqvarna 450 and definitely putting it to the test!
So far I have had fun ripping through the Oak and even the tough dead standing Madrone trees have been a breeze. So far I have cut and split about 4 cords and other than a quick brushing and lubrication for the sprocket and of course keeping the chain sharp the 450 has been running perfectly!
Thank you Husqvarna for the high quality product that your name represents when it comes to power equipment for the professional and homeowner alike!

I have used chainsaws for years and years. I bought this 450 20" model to replace stolen Poulan saws. I could never get this saw to have enough power to cut through anything bigger than 2", it would just bog down. I returned it to Lowes.
