Pleased with My 450
I purchased a Husqvarna 450 after using a family member's Husqvarna and also a Stihl chainsaw (both 18" bar). I was impressed by the low vibration and good balance on the Husqvarna and my 450 has exhibited the same features. It also has a good power/weight ratio and it takes a lot to stop this saw. I would recommend not buying anything less than a 48cc if you plan on doing serious firewood or other cutting. I have not had any problems with my saw in the 1.5 years I have owned it. It starts well, even in cold weather. Be sure to use fresh, ethanol-free fuel if at all possible as I have had another saw cylinder pitted/destroyed by using fuel with ethanol before I knew better.

I just got this and used it once so far. Starts and cuts great. Took it apart to understand how it all works, while it’s all clean. When removing the sparkplug, when it finally broke loose, my hand hit one of the clips that holds the top cover on and it broke off. It’s actually better I think as it still have two diagonally still holding it on (three was overkill). There’s plastic on the housing, but the chain side seems metal.
Very easy to remove the chain and bar, replace them, and tighten the chain. Knobs/ switches/ triggers, etc. are plastic, but I guess they all are now. I added some grip to the handle, which didn’t seem all that grippy (thus docked one star on ergonomics). I docked one ‘star’ from value just because these are pricy, but all good saws are I guess. I’m looking at other Husqvarna products (leaf blower, etc.).

I had used and struggled with off-brand and used saws for several years when I bought the 450. What a wonderful difference. Good balance, power, fast chain speed, totally consistent starting. And with the more efficient engine I used less gas and didn't smell of unburned fuel after an afternoon of fire wooding.

Mine leaked bar oil out the bottom righout of the box
I bought this brand because i wanted a reliable name. It does its job but everytime i go to pick it up it makes a huge mess. I dont know where its leaking but its a shame for how much i paid. If anyone knows what tje problem might be......possibly bad pump??? I'd appreciate the help. Not to mention i was buying the name brand bar oil but had to go to cheaper brand because it was all being wasted on the garage floor anyways.

Good saw for a home owner
Saw cuts and works great. Sometimes hard to start. I am left handed so hard to get started. When started the saw runs great.

This product works well
From the beginning this saw has been easy starting and does a great job even with trees larger than 18" in diameter. Plenty of power for bar size.
