HUSQVARNA 450 e-series
This saw gets sevral hours of use sevral times a month
I have cut over 50 trees and used the saw to prune up trees around my house. Mine came with a 20" bar though I will be putting a 16" one on it when my local dealer gets it in. I have gone though 2 bars on mine and worn out six chains from use. Taken down trees from 8" around to about 3' with this saw great price and power ratio. Plus the ease to get parts is why I went this over Stihl. Love this saw.

not happy with saw the sprocket at front of bar plugs up with sawdust and seizes the chain must be a design flaw in the bar. if you rev the saw 2 or 3 times after each cut it seems to prevent it from seizing I have had a small craftsman saw for 30 yrs and never had a problem so i am definatly not impressed with the 450 husq and wil not reccomend it to a friend

Great CS, VERY POOR manual
Husqvarna, is known for making great products, with that said they need to take a chainsaw to the manuals that come with their products. Their manuals are some of the most poorly written and designed manuals out there.
A quick start guide would be nice idea, guys...

Gets the job done!
Very impressed with my 450e series. Spent extra $$ to find a product NOT made in CHINA and this Swedish beauty fits the bill. Powerful, plenty of torque, starts fairly easily.

just a name.
I received this 450 chainsaw for 2013 Christmas, and finally took it out to drop my neighbor's tree April 25 2014. Ran great for about one hour before it shut off on it's own. We couldn't restart it so took it to a Husqvarna service shop and found out coil went bad, meaning the sparkplug wasn't getting electricity. How is it you pay a premium price for a supposed premium product and it fails in one hour of use? Seems like you're just paying for a name.

I have been using this saw for 3 years and no a problem ever, cut 100's of trees and just keep the oil full and grease the front of the bar and keep the tank full. I have cut everything from red oak to poplar trees, and has more power than I can believe. I am going to get a longer bar 20 in or 24 in but not sure yet, or just a another larger saw. I have a bunch of pines and I could use the extra length. Great saw for the money, there are cheaper saws but you get what you pay for.

a great chainsaw, an awful user's manual
I've had this saw for about 2 weeks. The cutting power and ergonomics of the Husqvarna are outstanding. I would have rated it 5 stars overall for its performance. However, the manual is very unhelpful. For example, assembly of the saw blade bar and chain are required. The procedure for this is found in the manual. What is not clear in the manual is that should you mistakenly engage the locking mechanism, it is virtually impossible to reattach the cover on the body of the saw. I had to transport it to a dealer 30 miles away. While the manual did enumerate the correct procedure, the mistake I made was critical. It should have been written in large type face and in bold.
Another example is that the starting procedure, while only 6 steps is clear enough, if you mistakenly try to get the saw started with the choke enabled (can happen to a novice), it will flood and will not start for an extended period of time. Mine needed 24 hours before I could get it going. A manual should recognize that certain errors (user caused) can create difficulties that will frustrate the new user and user error possibilities should be addressed prominently in the manual.
