Pleased Owner First chainsaw I've owned personally, but definitely not the first used. I have been extremely pleased with all aspects of the 445. The price was very reasonable. So far the durability & performance have been more than what I expected for the price. November 15, 2012
Gets the job done For the price it does a great job. Sure you could always use a little more torque but with some planning on the cuts it's really never an issue. Used this during hurricane Sandy clean up and it never failed me. And that was a lot of trees that needed to be taken care of. Couldn't be more pleased. November 12, 2012
good machine This is an easy starting machine. It weight, makes it less stress full on the arms. The vibration is reduced, handling this machine feels more balanced. The off switch is located by the right hand thumb, making shut down when needed a simple task. It features a visable gas tank level. It makes quality cuts. Just let the machine do the work for you. Better than expected! I couldn't help but to smile the first time I laid my saw into a hard 16" oak trunk section. I had power through the entire cut, even when just the tip of the bar was peaking out of the log. De-limbing is a breeze as the saw is easily wield-able for an extended period of time. Very efficient on gas. If you're can't decide whether or not to buy this saw, buy it; You won't be let down. November 6, 2012
445 This is a great chainsaw. Easy assembly and adjustment. Starts easy every time. November 6, 2012
Simply a great Saw About 2 years ago, I moved into a new house with some fully treed acerage. I bought this as my first saw and could not have been more pleased with this saw. I've had the saw for 2 years now and have cleared almost an acre of Oak, Maple, White Pine and Ash. I've felled trees in excess of 80 feet with this saw and its never let me down. This Saw starts easily, everytime... is easy to maintain and just simply runs well. Long story short, this is a lightweight tourquey little beast of a saw... Perfect first saw for someone who needs to do serious work. November 4, 2012
Top Quality Chainsaw Easy starting, smooth running and low vibration chainsaw. The spring mounts take away the numbing vibration associated with a lot of saws. Runs good and idles well, too. I recommend this to anyone looking for that next step up from entry level chainsaws. Great bang for the buck! November 2, 2012
Best performance for the money I compared all the markers and this was the most power, the lightest, the longest bar (18, but 20" allowable), (looked to me) to be the only above home owner design in my price range, and all for $300 range. It did not disappoint. I cut and literally sliced the length of a large maple like butter. I made an easy adjustment to the idle and it starts easy on at least the second pull every time. The only thing I would improve is embossing the oil/gas ratio and min octane level in the plastic next to the gas cap. I wanted a saw I believed I could (with excellent care) have for 10-20 years and have the flexibility (weight/ range of bar lengths 14-20) that I could cut up anything. I believe I found it.
