Simply a great Saw
About 2 years ago, I moved into a new house with some fully treed acerage. I bought this as my first saw and could not have been more pleased with this saw. I've had the saw for 2 years now and have cleared almost an acre of Oak, Maple, White Pine and Ash. I've felled trees in excess of 80 feet with this saw and its never let me down. This Saw starts easily, everytime... is easy to maintain and just simply runs well. Long story short, this is a lightweight tourquey little beast of a saw... Perfect first saw for someone who needs to do serious work.

Top Quality Chainsaw
Easy starting, smooth running and low vibration chainsaw. The spring mounts take away the numbing vibration associated with a lot of saws. Runs good and idles well, too. I recommend this to anyone looking for that next step up from entry level chainsaws. Great bang for the buck!

Best performance for the money
I compared all the markers and this was the most power, the lightest, the longest bar (18, but 20" allowable), (looked to me) to be the only above home owner design in my price range, and all for $300 range. It did not disappoint. I cut and literally sliced the length of a large maple like butter.
I made an easy adjustment to the idle and it starts easy on at least the second pull every time.
The only thing I would improve is embossing the oil/gas ratio and min octane level in the plastic next to the gas cap.
I wanted a saw I believed I could (with excellent care) have for 10-20 years and have the flexibility (weight/ range of bar lengths 14-20) that I could cut up anything. I believe I found it.

I have been needing a saw for years. I have been wanting a Husqvarna, the 445 does not let one down. there has not been a thing it cannot cut through, It is a little beast, and for the money what a great first saw. I purchased my 445 from a certified dealer, they gassed it and tuned it, which I believe to be a big deal. I don't think I will ever own any other brand of chainsaw again.

Complex - need video and to read manual
The 445 is an excellent, but surprisingly complex machine. The starting sequence is clear, but it took many pulls when new. In spite of having read the manual twice, the first chain fell off because I did not understand the tightening scheme. The manual is crafted to deal with many languages, but has too few words/pictures describing things like chain changes. A video was found that explains what is actually needed. Once running, it cuts wood with ease. The antivibration works. Need a funnel for fluids. Should last many years.

Less Work More Enjoyment
This chainsaw has taken the word "WORK" out of my tree trimming and cutting work and replaced it with "ENJOYMENT".

I no longer have the original saw I bought. I took it back to the place of purpose because it leaked bar chain oil from the day it was filled up for the first time. I planned on using the saw the next day so I did the prep work described in the manual getting it ready for use the next day. I did the 10 minute break-in, with all reservoirs filled. It ran fine and started on the third pull. The next morning I had a puddle of oil on my garage floor from the saw. There was no sign of oil around the fill point, just all over the bottom where it had been sitting. I used it three times over the next week working in between rain storms until I had run the saw out of fuel.
Finding a replacement was the biggest problem since it was the end of the season and not many Lowe's had one.
I finally found one 20 miles away and used the gift card gave me for returning the leaker.
The new saw leaked a little on the first fill but hasn't leaked since.
