I no longer have the original saw I bought. I took it back to the place of purpose because it leaked bar chain oil from the day it was filled up for the first time. I planned on using the saw the next day so I did the prep work described in the manual getting it ready for use the next day. I did the 10 minute break-in, with all reservoirs filled. It ran fine and started on the third pull. The next morning I had a puddle of oil on my garage floor from the saw. There was no sign of oil around the fill point, just all over the bottom where it had been sitting. I used it three times over the next week working in between rain storms until I had run the saw out of fuel.
Finding a replacement was the biggest problem since it was the end of the season and not many Lowe's had one.
I finally found one 20 miles away and used the gift card gave me for returning the leaker.
The new saw leaked a little on the first fill but hasn't leaked since.

Homeowner saw, performs like a pro: Husky 445
I have used the saw four times and could not be happier with it. Starts easily, cuts well and runs like a champ! I use the saw for clearing wind breaks on farms. It is the oerfect balance between light weight and durable. Excellent product!

Plenty of power to rip thru 8 "mesquites, no problem.
Cleared some over grown mesquite trees on my property, the saw starts easy and has plenty of power to spare. Mesquite is a very hard wood. No problems so far, I'm a happy camper.

the little saw that could
This saw is lighter than most chainsaws of its size, powerful prenty of torq what a little beast. I picked one of these saws up at Lowe's and i got more than i expected . the one i bought i believe has the same motor as the 450. Its a 2011.
i converted the automatic oil pump to an ajustable much better next im going to swap to drum sprocket and i think i can put an aluminum handle on it. I dont care about the warranty as long as u take care of the saw it should last half your life time. I lighty blow out around the motor with the air compressor every time im done cutting and grease the sprocket bearing in the cluch and bar . great saw. this doesnt have anything to to with the saw but the Husqvarna bar oil is low in viscosity to me it doent stick the the chain at hi speeds great for winter but not for summer i also have a 353 e tech love them both. the 353 runs so nice aways starts the first pop on the pull when warm. oh one more thing i would recomend using the decompression valve on the the xtorg saws my 445 kicked back when sarting it real hard one day and caught the sarter pulley and broke it. rare to happen. just bad luck. happened on friday the 13th user error. one other slight problem is the casing around the chain and sprcoket isnt open enough for chips to get out and they go back around and jam the bar sometimes guess thats what u get for sharping with a 7/32 file on a new chain haha flat chissel chain. recommend chipper chain in hard wood bore cuts much smoother i gap my plugs a little more than the recomended better engine response better starting from my experince i clean them once a month on a wire wheel and replace it once a year works for me. Ive done some brush clearing and some felling with it. i bought it in July this year. can someone tell me if felling dogs from a 357 will fit my 353 or a good set a reason why i shouldnt run a 3/8 chain on either of these two saws was thinking a 22inch bar and good set of felling dogs for my 353 to balance it out at the bar end i found an oregon 3/8 standard drum that fits

Husky chainsaw 445
Worst piece of equipment I have ever owned. Engine floods everytime I try to start it. Totally useless and ready for the scrap yard. Yes I watched the movie and read the manual. I suspect the problem is in the carb.

This product is reliable
Bought this saw when I had three trees die this year. This is my forth chainsaw I have purchased and is by far the easiest to use. Cranks very easy and is light enough in weight to allow you to keep working.
