The last saw you need to buy!
This is my third Husky. I started with a 136, then moved up to a 350 which had a lot of power but the muffler came off the first time I used it and it would never stay in and the shop at the store where I bought had no more success.
So I switched to a Stihl 290. A great saw when I was able to start it which was hit or miss. Finally, I read reviews here last year and bought a 445 with an 18 inch bar and it works like a dream. Very easy starting with a lot of power and gas efficient.

4 Years of trees
I bought my Husky-varna about 4 years ago when I moved into our then new house. We have 13 acres, and I thought that as a home owner I would only need an occasional storm clean up saw. In the past 4 years, three major storms on top of two serious hurricanes later, as well as historically high rains, I have sawed up over a dozen mature trees some in the 60-80 foot range and species from Locust to Walnut. The Husqvarna has done well, and probably better than I should expect, although it has gone through three bars at the same time as taking 5 chains. I feel that the bars should last longer than that. The bearings in the end sprocket keep getting tight even though I oil the sprocket holes with Teflon oil every time I saw. I also had to replace the ignition module last year, which seemed reasonable to me with the amount of work I have put on the saw. I have found it slightly under powered for the work that I am doing in that it has trouble with trunks larger than 15 inches, but it does get through them with a little work. The engine itself is very solidly built and the saw will run all day starting both warm and cold easily. Cleans easily. Maintenance is pretty easy including putting in the new ignition module. I would recommend it, although a little more power would probably have done well for me.

Serious homeowner user
Excellent product. Gret power for the size and saw is easy to use for limb trimming. Only con is you need to properly follow the start up procedure. If you do not get it right the first time or on another try you may have to let the saw sit or clear the excess fuel build up.

The name says it all
Nearly all my friends who own and use chainsaws told me to get a Husky. I was finally treated to one as a gift from my wife and have to say it is everything I would want. It starts easy, stays on idle without stalling, is easy to handle and cuts down trees like a beaver!

Easy to start
This saw starts easy once you get the hang of it. Been cutting wood to heat our home for the last 27 years. Love the low vibration and weight as I am getting older.

compression release is great feature
I own (3) Husqvarna chainsaws (2) husky weed wackers and (1) husky blower. All are great except my 455 which is hard to pull now that I'm older. That is why I bought the 445 for ease of starting with the compression release button.

Glad I spent the extra dollar
Good all around chainsaw. Easy to start, light in the hands and gets the job done. Had a Poulon wild thing that was a cheap thing. May seem expensive but you usually get what you pay for! Happy consumer of this product!! Anyone know of some trees needing attention?
