Had another brand of chainsaw, you would run it for a while, shut it off and it would not restart until it had completely cooled down. Found out right away that this husqvarna saw will start hot or cold every time. It feels good in your hands and cuts like a dream!!!! I highly recommend this saw. May cost a little more than the cheapest brand, but it's worth every penny and it cuts circles around the others!!!!!!

Pretty decent saw
Bought it from Lowes and the plastic pull start piece broke on the third or so start, they fixed it for free but it was a pain just to bring it back and stuff, its been probably two years now and just the other day the little fuel pump to prime it, the plastic piece for that broke so now it kinda flops around. Also when its cold u have to hold the throttle do start it, once its warm it starts much easier. It's a great saw, but I worked on a farm when I was younger selling firewood. We received logs from a logging company and the saws were quite a bit bigger but they seemed to be build a little more heavy duty, a little heavier but seemed worth it to me for it to be a little more durable. They saw a very lot of hours and always worked great.

Best saw in the shed
Have used the 445 for1 hour of hard work. Starts every time , does not bog down. cuts from 1 in. to 14 in wood with no trouble. This saw is replacing 16 in. bar and a 20 in. bar and bow saw of yesteryear ( two different brands ). I have put the saw up dry as I have read to and if all gos right the next time I need it it will start and run fine. Thanks for making a excellent saw. ...

Love It !!
first Husky purchase and i must say im impressed so far,
i wanted something that would run when i got ready to use it......im still not thru the break in period and only cut down a couple small eastern white pines. chainsaws require lots of maintenance....if you cant do it urself carry it to a shop...
let the pros do it, my guess is that the couple negative reviews are from people who just think you use it forever without having to do anything or they didnt buy the right saw for their needs...more power, longer bar, home use
commercial use ect....stay away from Ethanol or use Ethanol Treatment, use 90 octane gas or higher , keep it clean, air filter, lube clutch ect.....

I use this saw weekly at least and I can say that I am thoroughly impressed with this saw! It is very comfortable and the anti vibe technology works flawlessly. The air filter and carb are very easy to access, and the filter hardly needs to be cleaned, ever. The power is awesome in this saw! It kept up with a 90cc freshly rebuilt Stihl 051av through a 61cm (24 inch) spruce! The fuel efficiency is also surprising, and I love the fuel tank window. The saw starts effortlessly both cold and hot. My only complaint is that a special tool is required to adjust the H and L carb screws. The saw is also very good on bar oil (with 45cm/18 inch bar) Overall I am extremely satisfied with the saw and how light, comfy, powerful, and efficient it is. Good job Husqvarna! You have made a customer for life!

BEST LITTLE SAW I EVER USED
For the price and use of the 445 with 16 inch bar, does a very fine job. I have cut over 25 cords of wood. This saw has set in my shop for over 6 months and has not been started until yesterday. I put fresh gas in it primed it and on 3rd pull it started right up. For a homeowner the 445 is a good choice

I started with a used 435 but I felt so under-powered so I switch for a used (but not so) 445 in a pawn shop, I could feel the difference . It is a perfect balance between power and agility since I still can climb in the tree the saw fixed on my harness. When Am back on the cold ground , it`s a monster for logging and limping with apple trees and other hard woods like maple. Just 45 cc but it doesn`t matter ,I got the skills, the sharp chain, hand tools and accessories to compensate with the XP series Jut a inconvenient , A little capricious to start when cold but it worth every cents I paid for even used.

This is the most worthless piece of junk that I ever wasted good money on. With only occasional use, the trouble began shortly after the warranty ran out:
1. The poor quality plastic pulley in the cranking mechanism broke into pieces.
2. The chain slips off easily, and the housing cover will not fit back on if the chain brake mechanism has been activated. You get to sit there in the woods with a useless saw until you figure that out.
3. The saw now starts but will not run, it conks out when you try to rev it up and has no power. I replaced the spark plug and serviced the air filter to no avail, then took it into an authorized shop. They said that the fuel line had worked its way into a crimped position. I asked how it could do that and they didn't know.
4. I took the saw back into the woods today and it still won't run.
5. I have been cutting my own firewood for supplemental home heating for nearly forty years and have never had such a horrible experience. A Homelite served me well for most of those years with almost no trouble. When you go through all of the effort to arrange a day of wood cutting, you expect a piece of reliable equipment that you can trust.
