May be a lemon
Bought this saw and after using for 30 minutes on oak the chain kept tightening and freezing. Took in for warranty work and they cleaned the sprocket and replaced the chain. Said it was full of debris. They also charged me $48.30. I have cut wood for over 30 years and never had this problem before. My old stihl just keeps on cutting. Wont buy this one again.

The firt 435 I brought home, after 2 pulls, not sure but I must have bumped the trigger safety device. It broke in half. The saw was not dropped or hit. I never even got the saw started. I took it back and they gave me a new saw. The new one was hard starting from day one. Sometimes 50 or 60 pulls, sometimes it would not start at all. Today it world not start so I checked the plug and I was getting no spark. I put my finger into the plug wire to make sure, no spark. I took it back again and am now the proud owner of a Stihl. Husqvarna was 0 for 2 and with a new product that was more than enough. My old Husqvarna was OK but not a great saw. At least it ran. About half a pull and the Stihl fires right up and has a lot more power. No comparison Stihl in by far a superior saw.

had trouble but my mistake
I bought my saw in Nov from my local Lowes. It started fine from cold but wouldn't start after hot and had a very rough idle till it would stall out completely. After messing with it for a few nights and comparing it to dads saw [a few years older version] it was night and day between the 2, his was perfect. I adjusted the T screw for the idle and that problem was fixed. Now for the hot starting issue...With the new one piece start/choke I would flip it up and prime then pull forever and nothing. Then after looking at the picture instructions on the saw I finally seen my error. For a hot start you need to flip it up, prime it, then flip it back down to running position [cold start, you leave it up, till it "puff" starts, then put it down] and a pull or 2 later its running like a champ. I asked a local dealer about the rough idle and he said they (dealers) adjust that before you buy them, where hardware stores just sell them as is. I do like the older 2 piece start but the one piece is growing on me. Sorry for the long post but trying to help people from my mistake.

Hard to start
Have owned the 435 over 2 years. has become hard to start. Took the saw to an authorized dealer. He said is was just flooded. Took it home, still hard to start. Took the saw to another repair shop, they found a broken ring!!
Still hard to start. I do not prime and still the saw floods.

435 a great choice for homeowner needs
This saw fulfills it's advertising promises. I am very pleased with the ease of operation and performance.
My only issue has been when trimming a high volume of limbs in a rather large stand of small trees, I noticed that the chain tension needed to be adjusted often--which may be caused (?) by the large number of initial "bites" the chain had to make with so many limbs to cut.

Great running saw for the money
Nice saw for cutting smaller trees and limbs and vibration is not bad on hands. Paid $269.00 at lowes

435 Chainsaw Difficult to start
This is my 2nd Husquvarna chain saw and while there are some improvements over the previous model, I'm not entirely happy with this one. Saw would not start out of the box. I put new gas and oil in it and followed starting instructions but didn't get the first pop out of it. Finally called the 800 number and was told spark plug was probably defective. Put a used plug from my other chain saw in it and it fired up. Next day I took it to authorized dealer 25 miles away and they checked it out and verified as I said and put a new plug in it. Why not put a spare plug in the box if you knew this ahead of time. My other issue is the saw is difficult to start when the engine is warm. Once again, followed instructions on the saw and in the manual for a warm engine. Won't start. I think pushing the primer bulb 6 X is flooding the engine. I've been playing around and it appears not pushing the primer bulb that many times results in starting. The new one runs quieter and is powerful and easier to service, but once you've spent about 15 minutes trying to recrank one, you are in no mood to be friendly with anyone. Outside of starting problems I like the saw.

I purchased the Husqvarna 435 at Lowe's in Katy, Texas.
I do Chainsaw Carvings as a hobby. The 435 is a great chainsaw
has some great features on it.
I have owned Sthil and Poulan and this unit has alot of power and is lightweight.
Would recommend this 435 Husqvarna to anyone that wants to get the job done quickly.
