435 a great choice for homeowner needs This saw fulfills it's advertising promises. I am very pleased with the ease of operation and performance. My only issue has been when trimming a high volume of limbs in a rather large stand of small trees, I noticed that the chain tension needed to be adjusted often--which may be caused (?) by the large number of initial "bites" the chain had to make with so many limbs to cut. Great running saw for the money Nice saw for cutting smaller trees and limbs and vibration is not bad on hands. Paid $269.00 at lowes February 18, 2013
435 Chainsaw Difficult to start This is my 2nd Husquvarna chain saw and while there are some improvements over the previous model, I'm not entirely happy with this one. Saw would not start out of the box. I put new gas and oil in it and followed starting instructions but didn't get the first pop out of it. Finally called the 800 number and was told spark plug was probably defective. Put a used plug from my other chain saw in it and it fired up. Next day I took it to authorized dealer 25 miles away and they checked it out and verified as I said and put a new plug in it. Why not put a spare plug in the box if you knew this ahead of time. My other issue is the saw is difficult to start when the engine is warm. Once again, followed instructions on the saw and in the manual for a warm engine. Won't start. I think pushing the primer bulb 6 X is flooding the engine. I've been playing around and it appears not pushing the primer bulb that many times results in starting. The new one runs quieter and is powerful and easier to service, but once you've spent about 15 minutes trying to recrank one, you are in no mood to be friendly with anyone. Outside of starting problems I like the saw. February 17, 2013
HUSQVARNA 435 I purchased the Husqvarna 435 at Lowe's in Katy, Texas. I do Chainsaw Carvings as a hobby. The 435 is a great chainsaw has some great features on it. I have owned Sthil and Poulan and this unit has alot of power and is lightweight. Would recommend this 435 Husqvarna to anyone that wants to get the job done quickly. January 31, 2013
Bought a real saw This is my first real saw to own. First use fired right up. Cuts great, feels good. Cut through 12" diameter beech like a dream. This is the best i've used. I would put it up against a Stihl anyday January 15, 2013
Happy with it Very cold natured. Hard to start after it sits for a while. It is lightweight and easy to handle. Once it gets going it gets the job done. Jim- Texas January 14, 2013
Great but not perfect I just picked this saw up about 3 weeks ago and so far I am very pleased. It actually does start as easy as they advertise but warm-engine starting can be a bit tricky. Seems to me like mine starts up easier when it's cold than when it's nice and warm. Kind of opposite of what you'd think but it's not a big deal. My dealer recommended against getting an 18" bar, claiming that he has had complaints about a 40cc being under powered for 18" but I went with it anyways for that extra range. Yes, it does get a bit bogged down at times when I'm cutting with the full bar but I have no problem slowing down the little it actually happens. Otherwise, the saw has very low vibration, is lightweight and the ergonomics are flawless - plus, no one can deny that bright orange body looks so much better than Stihl grey! January 14, 2013
husky 435 christmas gift bought new and it worked great , used premix fuel because i will be using it once in a while, one minor issue is the bar sprocket got stuck and had to use wd40 to loosen and grease December 28, 2012
