cutting firewood
I use my Husqvarna for cutting firewood for the entire season. I cut aspen trunks to 18" lengths with no problem. The logs vary in diameter from 6" to 24". I use the electric because it's quiet and clean to use. I don't drive my neighbors crazy with the noise. Don't know what I'd do without my Husqvarna.
I did have a few problems with the first one I owned. The switch and some electronic mechanisms had to be replaced, but this one works great so far.

Emergency purchase of chain saw
Last summer we had a nasty wind storm and several small tornadoes come thru our area causing severe damage to 10 trees and toppling 3 others. Our public road was closed by one toppled tree and our driveway was also blocked by two others. My old chainsaw (another brand) was overused and burned up (electric), thus a quick trip to the local hardware store. The only chain saw left was a Husquvarna electric chain saw. Forced to purchase it due to our predicament, but afterward greatly pleased with its performance. It had plenty of power even with the 16-24" material. I would definately recommend the Husqvarna electric chain saw for the periodic user.

Cutting without Care
I was looking for an electric chainsaw to do occasional trimming around a suburban lot. I read the reviews and this model was highly rated and accurately so. I just love it for small jobs. It's light, quiet and oh so easy to maintain. Just check the chain oil occasionally, fill as necessary and you're good to go.

the electric saw of choice
After using and abusing several other electric chainsaws ,in a log home finish application ,the Husquvarna 316 has performed well above any other electric. The durability and balance make it our "saw of choice"
