Great Saw For Price
This has proven to be a good investment. Have used it for cutting railroad ties with no problem cutting straight and quickly.

"when it was good. . . .
When its good its very but when its bad its very bad.
It seems impossible to keeep the chain on this saw. Ten minutes of work is followed by 10 minutes of fiddling around with the chain mechanism and the bar tensioner system.
Not as reliable as my old model 5 1

great little saw
bought this saw for cutting campfire wood and for light use around home. this saw is a little cold blooded, but if you let it warm up as the instructions tell you, it will run perfect. I only have about 4-5 hours on this saw, but it is light and easy to handle, So far i havn't had any issues what so ever.Well worth the price of 200.00

Nice Little Workhorse
This is my first "upgrade" saw from the common urban chainsaws from your normal big box stores. I was going for better quality/workmanship, reliability, and more power.
It's being used regularly for the past two months, and will be well into the winter (for firewood) and into spring (for pruning). The reliability in starting is much better than any of my previous chainsaws. It feels lighter and runs smoother than I was used to from the others before it. My only regret is I wished I would have sprung for a more powerful model with a longer bar. But compared to my previous three chainsaws of comparable (engine) size, the 240 outperforms them in both reliability and comfort.

Husqvarna 240
This unit was an out of box failure. Brought it to a warranty shop because unit would not start. Was also determined that the chain oil pump was not operating either.

Husqvarna 240
This product was a failure out of box. It would not start.
When the repair shop finally got it running, it was determined the chain oil pump was not operational.
I then took it home for some extremely light use around the house (4 x 4" trees), and realized there was no oil being distributed onto the chain. Now have to take it back for another warranty repair.
I bought it online from, what my local warranty shop tells me, is very shady. And that they repackage refurbished units and sell as new. Not happy about my purchase at all. Should have purchased directly from my local shop.

Model 435
The saw works extremely well. I found it difficult to start, but due to my inexperience using a chain saw, I quickly realized I was the one at fault. After a few usages it became easier and easier to start. I have used it a total of six times in little over a month, plus lend it to three different friends. They were ecstatic compared to others they have owned(I wont mention brand names). Cleaning it was a breeze and I liked the way it lubricates the chain and blade as its being use. I was sketical at first as it did not seem to lubricate automatically as fast as it should, but then again it worked out well as I got to know the saw better.
