Versatility Owning several Husqvarna products, when I determined I needed a smaller chainsaw than my 455, the 240 was an easy choice. Light, powerful and easy to operate, the saw has done everything I have asked it to do and more. For smaller jobs, the 240 is a great product. November 27, 2012
fantastic machine I purchased this saw after my other one died of old age. The chain saw starts easy and is perfect for the clean up work after our last good blow we had in the northeast The husky has the correct weight and ergonomic design that it is a brease to use cutting and limbing up downed trees. I have recommended it to all I know. November 26, 2012
Excellent machine! This is my first gas powered chainsaw. Several friends and co-workers recommended this brand and saw and I am very pleased. It started right up and cut an entire truck load of fire wood like butter. Very pleased with purchase. November 24, 2012
Big Disappointment We've had several Husky's over the years. This was bought to replace one that had recently been stolen. The quality of the saw is nothing like the older ones that we had. There is an awful lot of plastic. It's difficult to adjust the chain and the little plastic gear that is located behind the sprocket that operates the oiler and pumps oil onto the bar, broke, the first time I used it. The saw does not have much power and stayed in the bogged down mode. We were not cutting big trees or anything, maybe 4" to 8" logs. The plastic part has been back orderd for a couple of weeks or at least that is what DeViney Equipment, the dealer that we bought the saw from says. I cut with the saw for a half hour or maybe 45 minutes and it's been in the shop for over 3 weeks. I will NOT buy another one and you should NOT either. Also, if you buy a Husqvarna, buy it from LOWE's so that you can get a refund if there is a problem with the saw. November 8, 2012
nice well rounded tool when I first bought this product I had to return it to the store because when I was using it to prune some small trees the chain poppped off the bar and I went to put the chain back on the bar and I had such a hard time getting it on and when I finally did the chain would not move when I started it up and I did this a couple of times to no avail did not work so I had to bring it back for a new one and when I got it home and started using it and it worked like a charm using this is like cutting butter with a hot knife could not be happier with this product and would recommend it November 3, 2012
Small jobs I got this saw for use in cutting down tall trees, it will be used for cutting from the top down. The 10 lb. weight is light enough to work for this purpose. Enough power and the cost was higher, however, the quilty makes it worth it. October 31, 2012
Not a hard starting saw Good chain saw. Had to learn how to start a husqvarna chain saw. I had heard out on the web that people had problems starting this saw and I can see why if you tryed to start the way the way most of us are use to. But after starting it a few times and learning the husqvarna way the saw generally starts on the second or third pull. I have droped 5, 10 inch trees elms and cherry the saw has preformed well. If you noticed I did not rate the durability because it should be rated after a year. Anything before then would would not mean anything. October 21, 2012
Excellent Light Duty Chainsaw i just purchased my 2nd 240, only because my first one was stolen. These are great little light duty chainsaws. Very easy to use right out of the box. Powerful enough for bigger jobs. I am mainly cutting 2"-5" saplings around my property. But am sometimes cutting bigger blow-downs. This saw handles them all. A great product from a great company.
