good overall saw. The 240 starts and runs great. The one problem I had that I thought could have been designed better was that the screw in the chain bar assembly used to tighten the bar is held in position with a hole in the plastic at the end of the screw. The plastic broke out and caused the screw to pull out of the hole in the bar. September 5, 2011
We Will be warm this winter Bought this chain saw to cut fire wood for my wood stove Ive only used it once so far but was very happy with it. A little hard to start out of the box and still need to adjust idle. But I have already cut up an 18"+ - oak and a small Beech tree all with facotry chain and seems to still be in good shape. Practical saw at a great value. We bought our saw after my parents lost over 100 trees in straight-line winds. It has been great for limbing trees because it is very light, but still has 18" bar. We are very glad to have it around for all of our projects! July 28, 2011
Review A little difficult to start even when warm. Will be interesting to see how it will start in cold weather. Areas where you put your foot needs to bigger for my 12XW shoe and if I were wearing boots or safety shoes they would not fit in this area. July 15, 2011
240 Chainsaw The chainsaw performs as expected. I rated the durability average since I did not have an N/A option. I have only used the chainsaw for 3 trees so I do not feel I can truly rate the durability just yet. All in all I like the saw and plan to keep it around for years to come. The only complaint I have is the idle. Maybe it just needs a tune but it stalls mid job at idle and can be a pain to get started again. July 12, 2011
First Husqvarna This is my first Husqvarna. Actually, it is my first chainsaw. So far, so good. Starts easily and runs great. It has performed every task well. June 8, 2011
Husqvarna 240 Good saw, lightweight but with adequate power. Uses very little fuel. Only saw that I have owned that actually idles ... saves a lot of time without need for restart. Only complaint is that I cannot put my foot through the handle as recommended for starting ... average size foot/ moot won't fit as required. I would buy the saw again. Clearly Husqvarna provides quality. May 27, 2011
Great chainsaw I bought this chainsaw just to do little stuff and to keep in my truck for hunting season. Its perfect, has enough power to cut bigger stuff but light enough to do little stuff. May 16, 2011
