This unit was an out of box failure. Brought it to a warranty shop because unit would not start. Was also determined that the chain oil pump was not operating either.

This product was a failure out of box. It would not start.
When the repair shop finally got it running, it was determined the chain oil pump was not operational.
I then took it home for some extremely light use around the house (4 x 4" trees), and realized there was no oil being distributed onto the chain. Now have to take it back for another warranty repair.
I bought it online from, what my local warranty shop tells me, is very shady. And that they repackage refurbished units and sell as new. Not happy about my purchase at all. Should have purchased directly from my local shop.

The saw works extremely well. I found it difficult to start, but due to my inexperience using a chain saw, I quickly realized I was the one at fault. After a few usages it became easier and easier to start. I have used it a total of six times in little over a month, plus lend it to three different friends. They were ecstatic compared to others they have owned(I wont mention brand names). Cleaning it was a breeze and I liked the way it lubricates the chain and blade as its being use. I was sketical at first as it did not seem to lubricate automatically as fast as it should, but then again it worked out well as I got to know the saw better.

I bought this chainsaw as a result of hurricane Irene. When it came time to purchase I had the option of buying a craftsman model or the Husqvarna. I chose the Husqvarna because of the reliability and performance. I cut up several downed hickory trees with no problem. The saw had plenty of power to get the job done. I only wish the instructions where easier to follow. Other than that, this is a great saw.

good overall saw.
The 240 starts and runs great. The one problem I had that I thought could have been designed better was that the screw in the chain bar assembly used to tighten the bar is held in position with a hole in the plastic at the end of the screw. The plastic broke out and caused the screw to pull out of the hole in the bar.

We Will be warm this winter
Bought this chain saw to cut fire wood for my wood stove
Ive only used it once so far but was very happy with it. A little hard to start out of the box and still need to adjust idle. But I have already cut up an 18"+ - oak and a small Beech tree all with facotry chain and seems to still be in good shape.

Practical saw at a great value.
We bought our saw after my parents lost over 100 trees in straight-line winds. It has been great for limbing trees because it is very light, but still has 18" bar. We are very glad to have it around for all of our projects!
