HUSQVARNA 240 3.6 5 128 128
Feature Filled Saw I was looking for a small saw for pruning work, carving bar for building, etc. The 240 has 2 bar retention nuts, spring mounted anti-vibe instead of rubber mounts, and a high chain speed. So, I bought one. The saw is great. Does everything well. I used a 142 at a former employer and this saw is an improved version. If you are looking for one saw, I would recommend a saw at least 50cc. But, if you are looking for a small saw to run all day pruning softwood limbs in a stand, carve, or have to carry all day clearing trails, the 240 is hard to beat. March 25, 2012
240 chainsaw Starts easy, runs well, plenty of power for smaller stuff, say up to 6-8 inches. Use it to cut most of my fire wood, for the big jobs I use my 61. March 21, 2012
Like the 240 series chain saw The you tube video is outstanding. It shows you how to put the saw together out of the box. It was easy to start and well balanced when cutting small trees. The you tube presentation is excellent and everyone shoud review before they use their chain saw. This saw is a quality product and I recommend. February 2, 2012
Proper tool for the job I went to our local power tool store looking for a Stihl chainsaw. The salesman suggested the Husqvarna and proceeded to tell me the differences. Since they sell both brands I figured he had nothing much to gain from selling one over the other. The saw has performed flawlessly and every bit as well as explained. I can't compare it to the new Stihl, but I like it better than the old one I was replacing. I don't use a chainsaw a lot so this one should last me......well, forever. Definitely the right choice. 240 chainsaw This saw starts and runs well with no issues. For its size it does a good job on red oak. Nice saw to handle. January 24, 2012
Great Saw for a Great Value! I received this saw for Christmas and there isn't anything I would change. It's great to have after you fell a tree to do the cleanup work with a light weight saw. I've used this to cut through a pretty descent sized tree with relative ease for its size. Make sure you let the saw warm up and you are good to go! January 16, 2012
Yardwork made easy! The ease of starting this chainsaw is what sold me on the product. The ergonomic design makes using it much more comfortable then other chainsaws. Plenty of power in this model for cleaning up after all the recent storms - January 14, 2012
Good saw for the Money I have been using a sears brand saw for the past 8 years and finally it went down, so naturally I wanted to continue with what I have been using, well sears is now making a lower quality product, out of the box it would not stay running so I went back to sears and exchanged it for a Husqvarna. Let me tell you from the first pull I have been very pleased with this product. I cut about 4-5 cords of firewood each year which I take from tree to stove, and this saw can do it all. It has not let me down yet, I have had it for 4 months now and use it every weekend. Because of the volume of wood that I am processing now, I'm thinking of a second saw, one that has a little more power, and it will be a Husqvarna. Save your time and money and invest in a Husqvarna, you will be glad that you did. December 20, 2011
