Very disappointed Ordered the Husqvarna 240E from Northern tool & Equipment on 9/26/12. I could not start the chainsaw. Took it to an authorized dealer, Beltsville Construction Supply and they could not start it either. They had to order parts for this new chainsaw which is a question in itself. I asked Northern Tool and Equipment if I could return the chainsaw and they said "NO" because I had put fuel in the chainsaw. I asked them how could I start it without putting fuel in the tank. Once you put fuel and oil in the chainsaw you cannot not return it. As of this date/time, I do not have the chainsaw and would like to return it once I get it back for the authorized dealer and get a complete refund. October 28, 2012
Not as expected I bought a Husqvarna 235 e-series and ever since I it was brand new it starts so hard. The pull cord came out after many pulls trying to start the thing..It was a normal, regular pull and first thing you know, the rope was in my hand! Going to to a Steil....much better saw. little saw, big performance I had bought a 20" saw and it worked well, but leaked gas. I returned it to Lowe's, no problem, and decided to try the 14" Husqvarna since it was the same price. My wife was the one that pushed for the smaller saw, she didn't think her 64 year old man should be climbing trees with a heavy 20" saw. I wanted the 20" "Man's Saw", but to keep peace I went with the 14". Boy was I surprised! This saw is not only weighs less, but cuts faster and is easier to handle when I'm hanging from a branch in the tree. Two 24" diameter hackberry trees gone! Thanks Husqvarna for a great saw. Sad to say! I brought a 240 at tractor supply on sale for $199.00. No I did not buy the extendeded plan. SHOULD have! The 1st time I use it and x2 tanks later the coil bites the big one. WILL ! DOES ! T.S. replace, Repair it? NO!!! The coil burnt up. Great Huh? Now I have to look around to find another coil for a cheaper price then the $25 on ebay I found +$4.00 S.H. Note this! do your math, trust know one, and buy a good used one from someone. It's all about OUR money ! go luck ! August 28, 2012
Chainsaw type 235E It's good looking and light enough to handle. The cover box also fight with good material to protect its machine. August 24, 2012
