Husqvarna 240 E Great product to have around the home or for light work out in the woods. The 240 E series is ideal for quick cutting jobs, trimming, trail clearing ect. I would recommend this product to anybody who isn't out trying to make a living on logging, but wants to do any task easy enough to finish without spending tons of money on a heavy duty chainsaw. Perfect for my needs I am a handyman and also have some yards I do weekly lawn maintenance for so I needed just a little pruning saw. I originally bought the Echo because of the warranty but quickly found it to be next to impossible to start cold. I got tired of the 40 to 50 pull starts so I took it back and went back to Lowe's to get the one I was originally familiar with, the Husqvarna 240e. I am glad that I did. It start after a couple of pulls, has enough power to easily complete the jobs I need it for and is easy to take apart and clean. Thanks Husqvarna for your quality product. April 11, 2012
chainsaw 240 e-series I own 9 acres of woods, meadow, water. 240 e-series seems to be perfect for my needs which is mostly clearing downed limbs and removing small, dead trees. I like the saw. Starts fine. Works fine. My only suggestion is this. The simple directions (mostly on starting) are very simple. The user manual is quite detailed. It would be helpful if there were an intermediate document for the new owner, more detail than the simple starting document and less than the manual. In addition, it would be helpful if the seller started the machine and gave the new user a tutorial 101. April 6, 2012
240 Chainsaw I bought this chainsaw after talking to my son-in-law who was a logger. I can see why. It is light weight for an 18" bar saw, and cuts very well. I think it must have very good compression since some times the saw won't let me pull the starter cord all the way out, and it is difficult to start sometimes. But when you follow the simple directions that are on the saw for starting procedures, and get a "good pull" on the starter cord, if fires off fairly easily. Once running, it idles fine and revs up ready to cut wood. I have cut almost a cord of wood when I look at the amount of branches that fell during our winter wind and ice rain storm. The saw worked flawlessly in performance. March 21, 2012
A great saw for the price. I was going to buy a Stihl but changed my mind when I seen the husky 240.This saw has much more bang for the buck than the comparable Stihl model.I really like the ease of chain adjustment and ease of starting. Thanks for a great product that I'm sure will last a long time. Finally--a real chain saw This baby is an animal--two days after my purchase, 8 inches of wet snow took down a huge pine tree on my property. My new Husky had it cut up in about 2 hours....with no stopping or hesitations. Also, doesn''t seem to use much gas or oil. I waited 20 years for this fine product. Thanks! March 16, 2012
Better than a woodchuck I bought this saw because of widn damage we would start cutting at 8am and would not stop untill dark I broke my back twice and had to be carefull picking a saw because of the weight this saw is great we worked the heck out of it .filled the tank 6 times it was ready to work when I wasen't thanks for a good saw Blair March 7, 2012
