HUSQVARNA 240 e-series
Best Saw for small jobs!
This saw is the best you can buy for the price. Definitely the best saw I have ever owned, and will not buy any other brands. I give this saw a five out of five star rating.

Failed twice in first year
I bought this unit on the recommendation of a national product-testing organization. The oiler quit working after about 10 hrs. use and the piston & rings failed after approximately 30 hrs. Was properly repaired without question under warranty both times but each problem required two 70 mile round trips and the loss of use of the saw for several weeks. I can't recommend this product to anyone who doesn't live close to a warranty service center. Also the Husqvarna website listed two businesses as Husqvarna warranty service repair centers that do not do any service work at all. I e-mailed the manufacturer about it from their Customer Support link months ago but the errors are still there.

This saw is great for what it was designed for, prunning, trimming felled trees and small tree cutting. To small and not enough power if you are wanting to cut huge trees. Easy to crank and light weight. Would recommend for general trimming.

Not a Human Energy Eater
This has turned out to be a real nice saw. Light weight, and very easy to operate. Starts easy and stays running. I did have a pinched fuel line on the initial purchase, and had to take it for repairs twice in a two week period. Since it's retrurn it has operated flawlessly.

Great weekend saw
I need a saw for cleaning up around our property, limbing trees. Cutting small trees, etc. I will use a saw a lot for a short period of time and then not use it again for a long period of time. This is my second Husqvarna saw. I had a model 41 for 12 years before buying this one.

review of 240e chainsaw
I found the 240e to be a good chainsaw, but it really drinks the chain oil, and a couple of teeth on the chain got bent so that I had to but a new chain within a month of the initial purchase.

Great little work horse
I had an 18 inch chainsaw so I was concerned with getting a new 16 inch. I am not worried any more. Just finished cleaning up after Hurricane Sandy storm damage. I cut up a 60 foot pine with a 20 inch dia. The saw was more than I expected. Plenty of power and light weight, easy to start, and felt very safe.

By far the best I've used
This is a Post-Hurricane Sandy review:
I bought this chainsaw last year, and I've now put enough `mileage' on my Husqy to be confident in my assessment that this chainsaw is by far the best home-use saw I've ever had (I've had 3 others previously -Craftsman, Poulan, and Echo). My biggest complaint about ANY 2-stroker is having to pull a zillion times only to finally give up trying to start the thing, and being too exhausted at that point to want to do any cutting, anyway. The Husqy takes a few good pulls, but ALWAYS starts, and goes into a nice, smooth idle. And this thing cuts like nobody's business - you can tell by the engines pitch at full throttle that it's turning a very high RPM, so it's REALLY moving that chain, which slices through wood like a hot knife through butter. I just got finished cutting up a fallen bough that was about 11" thick, and each cut through took maybe 20 seconds at the most. Another nice thing: Once it's warm it takes just one pull to restart (just remember to flip the power switch back on).
