HUSQVARNA 150BT 4.7 5 365 365
150 Blower Bought it over a month ago at Lowe's. Have been very impressed with the performance using it to move leaves away from the house and to clear the 150' driveway. Much more power than a string trimmer convert. this unit will move leaves and small sticks from under a car and send them beyond the other side. Wish I had bought one sooner. Handling is good; quitter than I expected. Starts on the second pull. October 21, 2014
Excellent performance This is my first back pack blower and I absolutely love it. I've gone through three quarts of gas (purchased three cans of the Husky premix to get the extended warranty) and it hasn't missed a beat. When cold starting, I hit the primer bulb five times, choke it, fires up on the second pull every time, then flip off the choke, let it warm up at idle for a minute, run it at low speeds for a couple more minutes, and she's ready to go. I found that by not installing the last section of tubing (which has a smaller outlet diameter), the blower performs better, allowing the full volume of air to be used. The cruise control is a nice feature that I sometimes use. My neighbor has a smaller gas blower and he runs his at full throttle all the time, whereas I usually run mine at close to half throttle, saving fuel and reducing noise levels. The back pack straps are comfortable and the entire machine is well made using quality materials. This is my first Husqvarna product, and I'm sure that it won't be my last. Go Husky!! Horrible grinding missing-like noise when decelerating rpm's Perhaps someone can explain or figure out if the unit I bought was out of spec of had a defect... Out of the box, WITH THE FREE PREMIX FUEL from Husquavarna, my unit of the 150BT Model would accelerate rpms smoothly then either: A) Almost 85% consistency, when I would throttle down/rpm deceleration, unit would make a horrible gnarly 'missing' grinding type sound.... ---> At LEAST VERY UNPLEASANT sound unlike any other mfr's similar blower I've used ----> At Worst, sounded so bad and mechanically wrong, almost certain this unit is self destructing. This noise cannot come from a machine that is operating correctly - noise is surely that of an imminent mechanical (premature) failure pending. Only question is how soon after warranty will it lose significant performance followed by a failure... *** The worst kind - not enough to be catastrophic right away - almost surely NOT UNTIL AFTER WARRANTY IS EXPIRED. A machine making this noise, right out of the box, simply cannot possibly not be in for an early grave or expensive repair bills out of own pocket. **** I am NOT trying to rip this machine and give it a bad rap... Quite the contrary. I returned Husqy to Lowes, got my money refunded back. I then decided to pay over $100 more for a certain white/orange German engineered machine (BR 350) that had less than the performance measurements/specs of the Husqy. --> [BR 350] did not have any strange decelerating rpm noises, however it was NO WHERE NEAR THE PRICE:PERFORMANCE RATIO of this Husquavarna 150BT The German machine, despite being OVER $100 more, had very poor ergonomic build quality compared to the Husquavarna 150BT (can't comment about the mechanical build quality, as I am not qualified, nor did I examine both of the internal mechanical parts, ect... But as an example of the Husky's value - this orange and white BR 350 had the cheapest shoulder strap padding I'd ever experienced (have had cheap backpacks with this level of material quality)... Furthermore the BR 350 lacked any type of back padding except the very bottom. There were empty holes where the upsale model (over $250 more than the Huquavarna 150BT) includes full padding IF you fall for the upsale model for $150 more to the next model up. Husquavarna is appreciated and to be commended for not playing this game - whoring basic features/build quality for a several hundred dollar more costly model. The Husky 150BT offers excellent features and ergonomics at this mid price point model ----> I want to be reassured by a Husquavarna representative that my particular unit's grinding decelerating rpm noise was an anomaly - a 'bad unit' and NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF A PROPERLY FUNCTIONING Husquavarna 150BT UNIT.... *** But not LIED TO: If there are a large number of units that happen to make this noise or all of them do,please just say this is the way they sound and we'll leave it at that ---> Also need to be assured that in the event I get another 150BT unit that makes these unacceptable sounds, that Husquavarna will arrange a full 100% refund - as I'm not comfortable returning a second unit to Lowes and getting labeled a habitual returner -> AS I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT LOWES AND BEST BUY BOTH USE SIMILAR OR SAME THIRD PARTY RETURN TRACKING FIRM THAT FLAGS CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE ABNORMAL RETURN FREQUENCY. Once you're marked in that firms database as a habitual returner -> ANY RETAILER WHO USES THAT RETURN TRACKING FIRM's DATABASE / SERVICE WILL MARK YOU AND POTENTIALLY LIMIT and/or DENY RETURNS all together. Due to my experience with this blower, it is extremely critical that I enjoy a consumer's right to a refund - especially when dealing with the high priced equipment I tend to buy as a single nonreturnable mistake or bad unit could cost me an awful lot! Husqvarna 150BT Purchased at Lowe's in early September and have used a couple of times on clearing leaves. Once you get the hang of putting the unit on your back, it is fairly comfortable. The power is excellent and it easy to direct the air flow with the extended tube. The noise level is less than I anticipated. When assembling use some WD 40 to slide tubes together. Looking forward to handling the heavy leaves starting to fall in October. This machine should make cleaning the yard much easier. October 7, 2014

Husqvarna 150Bt This is a good entry level blower. Bought it to replace my 125BVx that is still have. This is a good blower and has a good amount of power for the money. Hope to be able to upgrade to the 580BTS this fall. August 19, 2014
Plenty of power I originally bought the handheld blower/vac but found it was under-powered compared to the JD blower I had previously. So I decided to upgrade to the backback blower and am SO glad I did. This blower has plenty of power to clear grass, blow leaves, and even blow gum balls that fall from our sweet gum trees. I've had the backpack blower for a few months now and am very happy with it. It starts fairly easily and it's not as hard as I thought it would be to put it on my back. June 23, 2014
Awesome..!! Best yard blower i have ever owned...!! Makes yardwork go more quickly and easily. Starts very easy and has lots of power. June 13, 2014
