Decent leaf blower for its price 150BT I normally use more commercial equipment but for the price the performance is more than adequate. Another plus is it is fairly light, great for small clean-up jobs. 10% off @ Lowes, for 270 and in stock it is hard to beat. Runs well but if you shut it down it has to come off your back to restart if you are alone. December 14, 2011
Husky 150BT Best leaf blower I have ever used. First time use was on wet leaves during a misty rain. Leaves moved with very little effort. Once I finally used the blower on dry leaves I was blown away at how easy and fast it was to move large quantities of leaves. December 14, 2011
Great Value with Pro Performance I purchased this blower to handle two properties that are at least 1 acre and have LOTS of trees. At much less than the cost of a commercial clean up of just one of the properties, this handled both in a weekend. Granted it was a 3-4 hours each day, but more than worth it. Power: This has plenty for all but the most extreme piles. Even then you can use it to 'chop' off smaller sections and work through it. I was able to move mounds of leaves that had been soaked for 2 days prior to clean up by steady rain without issue. Ease of Assembly: You need a screwdriver for 2 clamps and some grease or other lubricant (even cooking spray would work) to fit the hose sections together easily. If it takes you longer than 10 minutes, you're doing something wrong. Ease of Use and Features: Mix the fuel, set the choke and the trigger (there is a lever that holds the trigger at any degree of airspeed) and pull the cord. I think the most pulls I've ever needed was 3. The backpack straps are padded, fit well, and are easy to adjust. There is a strap for around your waist that felt a little awkward intially, but it actually does a very good job of helping to balance and distribute the weight. Once you have it on, you don't even notice it. The blower hose is very flexible and the velocity trigger with locking feature can actually be positioned up and down the blower tube to allow for movement or longer arms. I can't say too much about durability as I've only had this for one season. It has had no problems with extended run times, restarts or anything else so far. There are some minor drawbacks. I've found that I have to engage the choke more often and for longer periods than I'd expect to keep it running. When the switch is moved off the choke position, the blower will sometimes stop or stall. This could be something I'm doing wrong. It was not enough of a pain for me to even bother contacting customer service. Another thing I would like to see improved is that there are VERY tiny picture diagrams and not much text for assembly and operation. If you have not done this sort of thing before, it could be difficult to see or understand what the documentation is talking about. The last little issue for me is that I would like a bigger tank. The blower does pretty well with fuel, but the yards are large and it takes a few fill-ups to get the whole job done. I'd like to have more capacity for fewer stops and starts. Overall, I've had a great experience with this blower and it has saved me lots of time and money with yard clean up. December 13, 2011
Blowin' those leaves I bought the 150BT because I am tired of lugging the 100' roll of wire for my old one. I had my yard done in less than an hour and a half with no encumberances. I liked doing it so much I blew all the leaves from our housing development entrance. It looked so good I took it over to my Sister in laws and blew all her maple leaves...then to her Sister Ann's house where I blew the pine needles into the greenbelt. Time for a little rest now. This unit is a great investment!! December 13, 2011
This blower is powerful and easy to use. Having used several hand held blowers over the years, I find the Husqvarna 150BT far superior in numerous ways. It starts well, is much quieter and comfortable in long use . I find the controls very helpful, and the blower has more than enough power to handle the movment of large amounts of leaves. I highly recommend it. December 13, 2011
great power It took about 5 minutes to assemble the blower tube, filled with gas and started second pull. Compared to my old hand held machine it is fantastic. Once on your back you dont even notice it is there and runs for about 1.20 hours on a tank of gas. December 13, 2011
great value for the price I pondered spending a lot of money on something like this for awhile but having my experiences with hand held blowers that were difficult for me to handle and were comparable in price, I went with this model. So glad I did. It fits on my back like a glove. I like the throttle control on the tube assembly, but if it was separate and on the left it would allow me to use my left hand and not let the strap slide off. December 9, 2011
It's awesome I own a home on an acre of land here in central Arizona, where my neighbor is the wonderful Sonoran Desert wide open for hundreds of miles. Needless to say sand, dust and drifts are my constant companions. This bad boy helps me win the battles in this sand war. Keeping my driveway, patio, and property around this place has been a joke, until now. Sand now fears me. December 5, 2011
