Wonderful Machine I still own a rake and broom, but I don't know how I would survive without this machine. The blower is wonderful...I use it to clean up after mowing, get leaves up, clean the deck, blow out the garage, etc. Tough machine, a tank of gas goes a long way...I just love this thing. Backpack vs handheld I have always used a handheld blower to clear leaves on a 1 acre wooded lot but as one gets older the task becomes harder. This year I decided to invest in a backpack for power and ease of use. When I'm going to spend a lot of time blowing it's well worth wearing a backpack since it is less fatiguing than using a handheld. I was not disappointed -- this unit worked well and it's very easy to start. Vibration is low and with proper ear protection quiet for the operator. Assembly is pretty straightforward but use some lubricant as suggested in the manual when assembling the tubes to reduce the frustration. I haven't parked my trusty handheld unit since I find it a lot more convenient for tight places and spot cleanup, but for heavy duty clearing over a period of time the backpack is best. This model has a waist band which is good but a strap to connect the shoulder straps at chest level to keep them from trying to slide off the shoulders would be an improvement. November 30, 2011
Husqvarna 150BT - Excellent Blower I was hesitant about my selection because there are so many products available that it is rather confusing. I read quite a few reviews and the Husqvarna seemed to be the winner. This unit is great. It moves a lot of leaves. Wet and dry. Small sticks and twigs are not a problem. My yard never looked so good. Some of the reviews talked about it being hard to start. I have not had that problem. (Watch that kill switch) There is a primer button that you press a couple times to rid the fuel line of any air . It starts right up on the second or third pull of the cord. Just remember to start it before you put it on your back!! November 28, 2011
great machine for the price recommended by 2 others who have purchased this blower....easy to assemble, powerful enough to handle wet oak leaves with ease, comfortable on the back. Highly recommend this blower. November 28, 2011
It gets the job done fast. I'm small in stature, so it has taken me a few times using the backpack to learn control. At first I had problems starting it, but after reading instructions and doing it one time, this was no longer an issue. Think it's great! I have two acres, mostly trees, so I've worked it a lot. This product compares with any other commercial blower This is the first time that I've purchased a backpack blower,as I have always used a hand held thinking that it would be a real problem carrying around a troublesome backpack monster. I was pleasantly surprised of the light weight and non burden that I experienced with my 150BT. November 27, 2011
150 BT -ready to go out of the box I searched many local stores to find the Husqvarna 150 BT and was able to locate one out of town. I own several Husqvarna products and they have proven themselves worthy and durable. I followed the instructions in the manual and other than the difficulty with interlocking the tubes together - that was more difficult than it should be - the rest was a snap. I put the mixed gas in it- primed it as recommended by the manual and it started right up and ran well. I have used it quite a bit since that first weekend and it starts on the first pull every time after using the primer which is kind of tucked away. November 27, 2011
